Eligibility / Qualification

  • Nationality: Indian.
  • Educational Qualification (as on 01/08/2025):
    • 3 Years Diploma from a recognized Polytechnic/Institute with minimum 50% marks (SC/ST: 45%) in any one of:
      • Electronics & Communication
      • Electronics & Tele Communication
      • Information Technology
      • Electrical & Electronics

Age Limit

Age is calculated as on 01/08/2025 (as per Matric/Equivalent certificate):

  • UR (Male): 21 to 37 years
  • UR (Female): 21 to 40 years
  • BC / EBC (Male & Female): 21 to 40 years
  • SC / ST (Male & Female): 21 to 42 years
  • Bihar Government Employees: 5 years relaxation (for those with minimum 3 years of regular service)
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years + service period relaxation, subject to maximum age 57 years

Admit Card Details

  • Admit card for the written examination will be issued online to candidates with valid applications.
  • Candidates should keep their registered mobile number and email ID active, as important updates may be sent via SMS/E-mail.
  • Admit card will be available through the BPSSC website under the “Bihar Police” tab.

Documents / items generally required at exam:

  • Printed admit card (A4 size print)
  • Valid photo identity proof (as per exam instructions)

  • Female: 12 pound, minimum 8 ft

  • Maximum 3 attempts for High Jump / Long Jump / Shot Put.

Important Notes

  • Only Bihar domicile candidates are eligible for reservation benefits; candidates from other states will be treated as Unreserved.
  • Pregnant married women candidates found pregnant during medical examination at the time of PET/running will not be allowed to participate and will be declared ineligible (as per notice).
  • The recruitment process may take approximately 6 months; candidates should ensure availability for all stages.
