Admit Card Details
- The admit card for the written examination will be issued online to candidates whose applications are found valid up to the last date of application.
- Admit card availability and exam-related updates will be published through:
- BPSSC website (Bihar Police tab)
- Newspapers (as per commission notice)
- Candidate’s registered SMS / E-mail (where applicable)
- Candidates should keep their Registration Number safe, as it is required for downloading the admit card and for future communication.

- Negative Marking: 0.2 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in both stages.
- Shortlisting:
- For Main Exam: up to 20 times the vacancies (category-wise merit) based on Preliminary marks.
- For Physical Test: up to 5 times the vacancies (category-wise merit) based on Main Paper II marks.
- Normalization may be applied using Equi-Percentile Method if the exam is conducted in multiple shifts.
Age Limit
- Age is calculated as on 01/08/2025 (cut-off date).

- Bihar Government regular employees (minimum 3 years service): 5 years relaxation in maximum age for appearing in competitive exams for higher pay level/service cadre.
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years + service period relaxation, subject to actual age not exceeding 57 years on cut-off date.

- Nationality: Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Educational Qualification (as on 01/08/2025):
- 3 Years Diploma from a recognized Polytechnic/Institute with at least 50% marks in any one of the following:
- Electronics & Communication

Merit List Preparation
- Final merit list will be prepared based on Main Exam Paper II (Technical) marks for candidates who qualify the Physical Test.
- Tie-breaking (in order):
- Older candidate (by date of birth)
- Higher educational qualification
- Higher marks in qualifying exam
- Alphabetical order of name (as per 10th certificate)
Reservation / Domicile Note
- Reservation benefits (including 35% horizontal reservation for women) are applicable only to Bihar domicile candidates.
- Candidates from other states will be treated as Unreserved for reservation purposes.
Medical Examination Note
- Selected candidates must qualify medical examination including checks such as vision defects, color blindness, hearing ability, flat foot, knock knee, etc., as per prescribed rules.
