IBPS CRP SPL-XVI Admit Card 2026
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the call-letter schedule for CRP SPL-XVI, conducted for recruitment of Specialist Officers in participating public sector banks for vacancies of 2027-28. The examination will be conducted in Preliminary and Main phases, followed by a common interview and provisional allotment.
The Preliminary Examination call letter is scheduled to be issued in August 2026, while the Main Examination call letter is scheduled for October 2026. Candidates should regularly visit the official IBPS website for the download link and updates.

Admit Card Details
Eligible candidates will be required to download their call letters from www.ibps.in by entering their Registration Number and Password or Date of Birth. No call letter or Information Handout will be sent by post or courier.
The call letter will contain the examination centre, venue address, post applied for, date, reporting time and examination session. Candidates must check all details carefully after downloading the document.
Candidates who opted for a scribe must enter the scribe details while downloading the examination call letter and must download the separately generated scribe declaration form.
Documents Required at the Examination Centre
Candidates will not be permitted to appear for the Preliminary or Main Examination without the following documents:
- Valid call letter for the relevant examination date and session.
- Original, valid photo identity proof bearing exactly the same name as printed on the call letter.
- Photocopy of the same photo identity proof.
- One additional recent photograph identical to the photograph pasted on the call letter.
- Scribe declaration form and other applicable documents, where relevant.
Accepted photo identity documents include PAN Card, Passport, Permanent Driving Licence, Voter ID Card, Bank Passbook with photograph, photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer or People's Representative, recognised college or university identity card, Aadhaar Card, E-Aadhaar Card with photograph, Employee ID and Bar Council Identity Card with photograph.
Ration Card and Learner's Driving Licence will not be accepted as valid identity proof.
Instructions for Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination call letter will be authenticated or stamped at the examination venue and returned to the candidate. Candidates shortlisted for the Main Examination must preserve the stamped Preliminary Examination call letter and stamped copy of the identity proof and bring them along with the Main Examination call letter.
Candidates reporting without a photograph pasted on the call letter or without one additional identical photograph will not be permitted to appear. Candidates are advised to keep approximately eight copies of the same photograph used in the application.
Candidates reporting after the reporting time mentioned on the call letter will not be allowed to enter the examination. Although the Preliminary Examination duration is 80 minutes, candidates may need to remain at the venue for approximately three hours or more for verification and other formalities.
Instructions for Main Examination
Candidates appearing for the Main Examination must bring:
- Main Examination call letter.
- Authenticated or stamped Preliminary Examination call letter.
- Authenticated or stamped photocopy of the Preliminary Examination identity proof.
- Original and photocopy of the valid photo identity proof.
- Additional photograph and other documents specified in the call letter or Information Handout.
Candidates who fail to bring the authenticated Preliminary Examination call letter and stamped identity-proof photocopy will not be permitted to appear for the Main Examination. The Main Examination duration is 155 minutes, but candidates may be required to remain at the venue for approximately four hours or more.

For Law Officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari, the Main Examination includes English Language, Reasoning, General Awareness with special reference to the Banking Industry, Professional Knowledge Objective and a Descriptive Paper. The total marks are 225 and the total duration is 155 minutes. For Rajbhasha Adhikari, the descriptive paper is in Professional Knowledge and English/Hindi; for Law Officer, the descriptive paper is in English.
In the Main Examination, tests other than Professional Knowledge are qualifying in nature. Merit listing will be based on Professional Knowledge scores. There is a penalty of one-fourth or 0.25 marks for every wrong answer in objective tests. No penalty is imposed for an unanswered question.
Selection Process
- Online Preliminary Examination.
- Online Main Examination for candidates who qualify and are shortlisted in the Preliminary Examination.
- Common Interview conducted by participating banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank with the assistance of IBPS.
- Provisional allotment to a participating bank on the basis of merit and preference.
The interview carries 100 marks. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General candidates and 35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates. The weightage of the Online Main Examination and Interview is 80:20. Only Main Examination marks are considered for shortlisting for interview and final merit listing.
Eligibility and Age Limit
The age limit is 20 to 30 years as on 01/07/2026. Candidates must have been born between 02/07/1996 and 01/07/2006, both dates inclusive.
Upper-age relaxation is available as follows:

The final result of the required educational qualification must have been declared on or before 21/07/2026. Candidates can apply for only one post.
Educational Qualification
- IT Officer: Four-year Engineering or Technology degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, Communication or Instrumentation; or a relevant postgraduate degree; or graduation with DOEACC B Level.
- Agricultural Field Officer: Four-year graduation degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Dairy Science, Fishery Science, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Cooperation and Banking, Agro-Forestry, Forestry, Agricultural Biotechnology, Biotechnology, Food Science, Agriculture Business Management, Food Technology, Dairy Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Sericulture or Fisheries Engineering.
- Rajbhasha Adhikari: Postgraduate degree in Hindi with English as a subject at graduation level, or postgraduate degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at graduation level.
- Law Officer: Bachelor Degree in Law LL.B and enrolment as an advocate with the Bar Council.
- HR/Personnel Officer: Graduation and a two-year full-time postgraduate degree or postgraduate diploma in Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, HR, HRD, Social Work or Labour Law.
- Marketing Officer: Graduation and a two-year full-time MMS or MBA in Marketing, or PGDBA, PGDBM, PGPM or PGDM with specialisation in Marketing.
For posts other than IT Officer, candidates must have a Certificate, Diploma or Degree in computer operations or language, or must have studied Computer or Information Technology as a subject in High School, College or Institute.
Salary / Pay Scale
Specialist Officers Scale I will receive the basic pay scale of ₹48,480-2,000/7-₹62,480-2,340/2-₹67,160-2,680/7-₹85,920, along with allowances and perquisites as applicable under the rules of the participating bank.

The fee is inclusive of GST and is payable online. Bank transaction charges are payable by the candidate. The application edit or correction window carries a uniform correction fee of ₹200, inclusive of GST.
Participating Banks
The participating banks are Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, UCO Bank and Union Bank of India.
Examination Centre Instructions
The examination will be conducted online at centres across India. The tentative centre list includes locations in all major States and Union Territories. No request for a change of centre will be accepted. IBPS may cancel centres, add centres or allot a candidate to a centre other than the one selected.
The following items are prohibited inside the examination centre:
- Mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, pagers and health bands.
- Calculators, writing pads, electronic pens, scanners, pen drives, log tables and stationery items.
- Watches, cameras, handbags, belts, caps and metallic items.
- Goggles, ornaments, jewellery, eatables and water bottles.
- Any item that may be used for unfair means.
Candidates should not bring prohibited items because IBPS will not be responsible for their safekeeping or loss.
Scribe and PwBD Instructions
Eligible candidates using a scribe must arrange their own scribe at their own cost and indicate the requirement in the online application. The scribe should not be a candidate for CRP SPL-XVI and may act as a scribe for only one candidate. For eligible candidates, compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour or as otherwise advised may be provided.
Candidates with visual impairment may opt for magnified font. Candidates with locomotor disability, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability or specified disabilities involving difficulty in writing may receive compensatory time according to the applicable Government of India guidelines.
Important Examination Warnings
Candidates may be disqualified, debarred or prosecuted for impersonation, use of unfair means, carrying prohibited devices, exchanging seats, misbehaviour, copying, sharing examination content, submitting false documents or obstructing the examination. The Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024 and applicable rules will also apply.
Candidates should preserve their registration details, call letters, stamped documents and application printout throughout the recruitment process. All further updates will be published on the official IBPS website.
