The fee is applicable as a One Time Registration (OTR) fee. Candidates from states other than Rajasthan belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC or EWS categories are treated as General category candidates for fee purposes.
Age Limit
The candidate must be at least 21 years old and below 40 years of age as on 01/01/2027.
Age relaxation is applicable as per Rajasthan Government rules, including:
- Male candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS categories of Rajasthan: 5 years.
- Women candidates belonging to the General category: 5 years.
- Women candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS categories of Rajasthan: 10 years.
- Widows and divorced women: No upper age limit, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
- Persons with benchmark disabilities: 5 years.
- Ex-servicemen, temporary government employees, NCC personnel and other eligible categories: relaxation as per the applicable Rajasthan service rules.

Eligibility / Qualification
Candidates must possess either of the following:
- A Degree in Law (Professional) from a university established by law in India; or
- An Integrated Law Course from a university established by law in India.
Candidates must also have:
- Working knowledge of Hindi written in the Devanagari Script.
- Knowledge of Rajasthani dialects and the social customs of Rajasthan.
The required educational qualification must be acquired by the last date of application, unless otherwise permitted under the applicable service rules.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of:
- Objective-type Preliminary Examination.
- Written Main Examination.
- Document verification and eligibility verification.
- Final selection on the basis of the prescribed examination and service rules.
Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are not counted for final selection. Candidates shortlisted for the Main Examination are selected according to the applicable RPSC rules and the number of vacancies.
Exam Pattern
Preliminary Examination
The Preliminary Examination is objective type. The syllabus provides 70% weightage to Law subjects and 30% weightage to proficiency in Hindi and English languages. Preliminary examination marks are not counted in the final selection.
Candidates must mark one option for every question on the OMR answer sheet using a blue ballpoint pen. If a question is not attempted, option 5 must be darkened. Failure to mark any option results in deduction of one-third of the marks for that question. Candidates who fail to darken any of the five options in more than 10% of the questions may be disqualified. An additional 10 minutes is provided after the scheduled examination time to complete the required bubbles.

The minimum qualifying marks in each paper are 40%. A relaxation of 5% is applicable to candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, as prescribed in the notification. It is compulsory to appear in every paper of the written examination. The standard of Paper II is Senior Secondary level.

- The Rajasthan Excise Act, 1950.

The Law paper is designed to test practical knowledge of criminal law, criminal procedure and framing of charges in criminal cases.

Pay Scale
The post carries Pay Matrix Level L-11, with Grade Pay ₹4,200. Fixed pay will be payable during the probationary period according to Rajasthan Government rules. Other admissible allowances will be governed by the applicable service rules.
