Age Limit
The prescribed age limit for all three posts is 18 to 27 years. Age is calculated with reference to the closing date for receipt of applications.
Age relaxation is available as follows:
- SC/ST candidates: 5 years.
- OBC candidates: 3 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of the period of military service from the actual age.
- Central Government departmental candidates: Up to 40 years for unreserved candidates and up to 45 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Candidates ordinarily domiciled in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh during 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989: 5 years for unreserved candidates, 8 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Children and dependants of victims killed in the 1984 riots: 5 years for unreserved candidates, 8 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for SC/ST candidates.

Eligibility / Qualification
Head Constable (Laboratory Assistant)
- 12th class pass with Biology as a subject from a recognized Board.
- Minimum one-year certificate course in Laboratory Assistant from a recognized institution.
- Minimum one year of experience as a Laboratory Assistant in a laboratory diagnostic centre, hospital or institution laboratory recognized by the Central or State Government.
Head Constable (Physiotherapy Assistant)
- 12th class pass from a recognized Board.
- Minimum one-year certificate course in Physiotherapy from a recognized institute.
- Minimum one year of experience as a Physiotherapy Assistant in a Physiotherapy Centre, minimum 100-bedded hospital or institute recognized by the Central or State Government.
Constable (Nursing Assistant cum Medic)
- 10th class pass from a recognized Board.
- First Aid certificate course from St. John Ambulance Organization or the Red Cross Society of India.
- Minimum one year of experience as a Nursing Assistant in a minimum 50-bedded hospital or institution recognized by the Central or State Government.
Candidates must possess the required certificates by the closing date of applications. The name and date of birth must match the Matriculation certificate. Candidates from Nepal or Bhutan may be appointed in the Force subject to applicable Government provisions.
Admit Card Details
The admit card for the Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, written examination, documentation and medical examination will be uploaded on the official SSB recruitment website. The available notification does not specify a separate admit card release date.
Candidates should download the admit card from the SSB recruitment portal and carefully verify the following details:

Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of the following stages:
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET).
- Physical Standard Test (PST).
- Written Examination / Common Entrance Test.
- Document Verification.
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
- Review Medical Examination (RME), wherever applicable.
- Final merit and selection list.
Biometric attendance, digital photograph, signature and thumb impressions may be recorded at all stages. Final merit is prepared primarily on the basis of written examination marks after completion of the applicable recruitment and medical stages.

Physical Standard Test
For the general category, the prescribed minimum standards are generally 165 cm height and 75–80 cm chest for male candidates, with a minimum female height of 155 cm. Relaxed standards apply to specified categories and regions, including Scheduled Tribes, North-Eastern States, Left-Wing Extremism-affected districts, Gorkha Territorial Administration areas, Garhwali, Kumaoni, Dogra and Maratha candidates, and candidates from Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
Important relaxed standards include:
- Scheduled Tribes of all States and Union Territories: Male height 160 cm; female height 148 cm.
- Scheduled Tribes from specified North-Eastern States: Male height 155 cm; female height 147 cm.
- Scheduled Tribes from specified Left-Wing Extremism-affected districts: Male height 158 cm; female height 147 cm.
- Garhwali, Kumaoni, Dogra and Maratha candidates and candidates from Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh: Male height 162.5 cm; female height 152 cm.
- Specified North-Eastern candidates other than Scheduled Tribes: Male height 160 cm; female height 150 cm.
- Gorkha Territorial Administration candidates: Male height 155 cm; female height 150 cm.
The male chest standard is generally 75–80 cm. Female chest measurement is not applicable. Candidates claiming physical-standard relaxation must produce the relevant certificate at the PST.

Constable (Nursing Assistant cum Medic)
The Common Entrance Test is of 100 marks, consisting of 100 objective multiple-choice questions with a duration of 2 hours. The subjects are General Knowledge, Mathematics, Reasoning and General English / General Hindi, according to the selected examination medium.
Marking Scheme
- Correct answer: +1 mark.
- Incorrect answer: 0.25 marks deducted.
- Unanswered question: 0 marks.

The posts carry Dearness Allowance, Ration Money Allowance, House Rent Allowance and other admissible allowances under SSB and Government rules. Selected candidates will be covered under the applicable Defined Contributory Pension Scheme or Unified Pension Scheme as per prevailing rules.
Documents and Examination Instructions
Candidates should ensure that the photograph and signature uploaded in the application are clear and meet the prescribed specifications. The photograph should be in JPG format, between 4 KB and 12 KB, with the prescribed dimensions and a white background. The signature must be made by the candidate in black or dark blue ink and should comply with the prescribed size and format requirements.
Candidates should reach the examination venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Calculators, mobile phones, digital diaries, pagers, blades, whiteners and other prohibited items are not permitted at the recruitment venue. No travel allowance is ordinarily admissible, except eligible reimbursement provisions for unemployed SC/ST candidates who produce the required original documents.
