Admit Card Details
SSC will issue the Admission Certificate for the Computer Based Examination through its official website. Candidates will not receive the admit card by post or email. The examination timetable and city or centre information are expected to be uploaded approximately 10 days before the examination.
Candidates should regularly check the SSC website and the website of the concerned Regional Office. If the candidate’s details are not displayed one week before the examination, he or she should immediately contact the SSC helpline with proof of application submission.
How to Download the Admission Certificate
- Visit the official SSC website.
- Open the candidate login or Admission Certificate section.
- Select Selection Post Phase XIV/2026 and the relevant Regional Office.
- Enter the Registration Number or Roll Number and Password or Date of Birth.
- Download and print the Admission Certificate.
- Check the candidate’s name, date of birth, photograph, examination date, reporting time, venue, and instructions carefully.
Documents to Carry to the Examination
Candidates who have not completed Aadhaar-Based Authentication must report at the examination centre two hours before the scheduled examination time and carry the following:
- Printed copy of the Admission Certificate.
- At least two recent passport-size colour photographs.
- Original valid photo identity proof containing the full date of birth as printed on the Admission Certificate.
Accepted identity documents include Aadhaar Card or e-Aadhaar printout, Voter ID Card, Driving Licence, PAN Card, Passport, School or College ID Card, Government, PSU or private Employer ID Card, Ex-Serviceman Discharge Book, or another valid photo identity card issued by the Central or State Government.
If the photo identity document does not contain the date of birth, the candidate must carry an additional original document such as a Matriculation Certificate, Board marksheet, Birth Certificate, or Category Certificate. Any mismatch in the date of birth on the Admission Certificate and identity document may result in denial of entry.
Candidates using a scribe must also carry the required medical certificate, undertaking, photocopy of the scribe’s identity proof, and scribe entry pass, wherever applicable.
Examination Pattern
SSC will conduct separate Computer Based Examinations according to the minimum educational qualification required for the post.

- Examination duration: 60 minutes with a sectional timer of 15 minutes for each part.
- Candidates eligible for a scribe will receive 80 minutes, with a sectional timer of 20 minutes for each part.
- Negative marking: 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
- The examination will be conducted in Hindi and English.
- Skill tests such as Typing, Data Entry, or Computer Proficiency Test will be conducted wherever prescribed and will generally be qualifying in nature.
Selection Process
- Computer Based Examination.
- Shortlisting based on normalized marks and merit.
- Uploading and scrutiny of educational, experience, category, age, and other supporting documents.
- Skill Test, wherever prescribed for the post.
- Document Verification by the concerned User Department.
- Final result, nomination, and post allocation.
The minimum qualifying standards mentioned in the notice are 30% for Unreserved candidates, 25% for OBC/EWS candidates, and 20% for other categories. Candidates selected for appointment may be required to serve anywhere in India because all posts carry All India Service Liability.

Age Limit and Relaxation
The age limit varies according to the post and is calculated as on 01/01/2026. The notice includes age ranges such as 18–25 years, 18–27 years, 18–28 years, 18–30 years, 18–35 years, 20–25 years, 20–30 years, 21–27 years, 21–28 years, 22–28 years, and 23–28 years.
Upper-age relaxation is available as per applicable Government of India rules, including:
- SC/ST: 5 years.
- OBC: 3 years.
- PwBD: 10 years.
- PwBD-OBC: 13 years.
- PwBD-SC/ST: 15 years.
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deduction of military service from actual age.
- Eligible Central Government Civilian Employees in Group C posts: up to 40 years, or up to 45 years for SC/ST candidates.
- Widows, divorced women, and judicially separated women who have not remarried: up to 35 years, or up to 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted for determining age eligibility.
Important Examination Instructions
- Candidates must appear only once for each level of examination: Matriculation, Higher Secondary, or Graduation and above.
- Candidates applying for more than one post category must submit a separate application and pay the applicable fee for each category.
- A candidate may select three examination centres in order of preference. The centre preference selected in the first application will be frozen for subsequent applications.
- Candidates who have not completed Aadhaar-Based Authentication must carry the required identity documents and photographs.
- Electronic gadgets, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, wireless devices, spy cameras, weapons, and other prohibited items are not allowed in the examination hall.
- Any malpractice, impersonation, submission of forged documents, or appearing more than once may result in cancellation of candidature and debarment from future SSC examinations.
- Candidates should preserve the application form and examination documents for three years.
