Application Fee

The notification states that the application process requires One Time Registration (OTR) through the Rajasthan SSO portal. The applicable OTR fee is as follows:

Age Limit

The candidate must be at least 21 years old and below 40 years of age as on 01/01/2026.

Age relaxation is available according to Rajasthan Government rules. The principal relaxations mentioned in the notification are:

  • Male candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS categories of Rajasthan: 5 years.
  • Female candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS categories of Rajasthan: 10 years.
  • Women belonging to the General Category: 5 years.
  • Widows and divorced women: No upper age limit, subject to submission of the required documents.
  • Rajasthan State Government employees: upper age limit of 45 years.
  • Persons serving in substantive capacity under the State Government, Panchayat Samitis, Zila Parishads and State Public Sector Undertakings or Corporations: upper age limit of 40 years.
  • Ex-servicemen: relaxation as prescribed under the Rajasthan Civil Services (Absorption of Ex-servicemen) Rules, 1988; the maximum age limit in direct recruitment may be 55 years where applicable.
  • Persons with benchmark disabilities: 5 years relaxation under the Rajasthan Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2018.
  • Candidates possessing a recognised doctorate in the relevant subject: 3 years relaxation, subject to the prescribed conditions.

Eligibility / Qualification

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess at least a Second Class Master's Degree in any one of the following subjects:

  • Economics.
  • Statistics.
  • Mathematics with Statistics as a paper.
  • Commerce with Statistics.
  • M.Sc. Agriculture Statistics from a university established by law in India, or an equivalent foreign qualification recognised by the Government.

Candidates must also possess an RS-CIT certificate conducted by Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Limited and awarded by Vardhman Mahaveer Open University, Kota, or another certificate declared equivalent by the Department of Information Technology and Communication, Government of Rajasthan.

Experience

The candidate must have at least one year of experience in handling official statistics in a Government Department, reputed commercial concern or university.

The experience requirement may not apply to candidates who:

  • Possess a first-class Master's Degree or a Doctorate in one of the prescribed subjects.
  • Have successfully completed two years of training in Statistics at a recognised Statistical Institute or University.
  • Have passed a one-year Diploma Course from a recognised university or institution with Statistics and Economics as optional papers.
  • Belong to the Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe category, subject to the applicable rules.

Other Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari Script.
  • Knowledge of the culture of Rajasthan.
  • Candidates appearing in the final year of the required qualification may apply, but they must obtain and submit proof of the prescribed qualification before the written examination or within the period specified by the Commission.
  • Experience required for the post must be obtained by the last date of application.

Answer Key Details

Important answer-sheet instructions are as follows:

  • Each question will have five options marked 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
  • Candidates must darken only one circle using a blue ball-point pen.
  • Marking one option for every question is compulsory.
  • If a candidate does not wish to attempt a question, option 5 must be darkened.
  • If none of the five options is darkened, one-third of the marks prescribed for that question will be deducted.
  • Candidates will receive an additional 10 minutes after the scheduled examination time to verify that one option has been marked for every question.
  • A candidate who does not darken any option for more than 10% of the questions may be disqualified.

  • The examination will contain 150 multiple-choice questions carrying 150 marks.
  • There will be one paper.
  • The duration of the paper will be 2 hours 30 minutes.
  • Negative marking will apply. For every wrong answer, one-third of the marks prescribed for that question will be deducted.
  • The detailed syllabus will be notified to candidates by the Commission in the prescribed manner.

Pay Scale

The post carries Pay Matrix Level L-12, with Grade Pay ₹4,800 under the applicable pay rules. During the probation period, fixed remuneration will be payable according to Rajasthan Government rules.

Selection Process

The selection will be made through a competitive written examination. If required, the Commission may use scaling, moderation or normalisation while evaluating the answer sheets. The names of suitable candidates will be recommended to the State Government or the concerned appointing authority in merit order.
