The fee may be paid through credit card, debit card, internet banking, UPI or SBI e-Challan. Candidates shortlisted for the main examination must pay the applicable examination fee separately before downloading the examination admit card.
Age Limit
The prescribed age limit is 18 to 40 years. Age is required to be calculated as on 01/07/2024. Upper-age relaxation will be available to eligible reserved-category candidates and other categories according to Uttar Pradesh Government rules.

The notification also provides horizontal reservation details for eligible persons with disabilities, dependants of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, women and outstanding sportspersons. The horizontal reservation figures mentioned include 5 posts for ex-servicemen, 12 posts for dependants of freedom fighters, 51 posts for women and 5 posts for outstanding sportspersons.
Eligibility / Qualification
Candidates applying for the BCG Technician post must fulfil the following requirements:
- Intermediate examination with Science from the Uttar Pradesh Board or an equivalent examination recognized by the Government.
- Two-year Diploma Certificate in Tuberculosis Programme Management from a State Medical Faculty, Uttar Pradesh, or an institution recognized by the State Medical Faculty or an equivalent recognized institution.
- The required educational qualification and supporting certificate must have been obtained by 07/08/2024.
- Candidates must have participated in the UPSSSC PET 2023 and possess a valid score card issued by the Commission.
- Candidates with a zero, negative or normalized score in PET 2023 will not be shortlisted for the main examination.
- Candidates whose cases are under investigation or provisional may be permitted provisionally, subject to the Commission’s final decision.
- Only one application is permitted for the advertised post.
Answer Key Details
The BCG Technician Main Examination candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their UPSSSC PET 2023 scores. The notification states that candidates will be shortlisted for the written examination in a ratio of 15 times the advertised vacancies, including candidates falling within the final cut-off or equivalent score up to two decimal places.
Candidates should check the official UPSSSC website for the question paper, provisional answer key, objection facility and final answer key whenever these are uploaded. The objection process, objection fee, deadline and instructions will be governed by the separate notice issued by the Commission.
If the examination is conducted in more than one shift or on more than one day, the Commission may apply score normalization for comparative evaluation.

Important Instructions
- Applications are accepted only through the online application system available on upsssc.gov.in.
- Candidates must use their PET 2023 registration number for authentication and login.
- The application form includes personal details, educational qualification details, photograph, signature and other eligibility information.
- Candidates may correct only the permitted fields, including name spelling, parent or spouse name spelling, correspondence address, EWS and horizontal reservation details, category, gender and mandatory or preferential qualification details.
- Corrections in the application form were permitted up to 14/08/2024. No correction request is accepted after the prescribed deadline.
- Candidates must print and preserve the submitted application form and payment receipt for future use.
- The examination date, time and examination centre are communicated through the admit card. Candidates must appear only at the allotted examination centre.
- Providing incorrect information, submitting false documents, impersonation, cheating or misconduct may result in cancellation of candidature and debarment from future examinations.
- The Commission does not provide individual advice regarding eligibility. Candidates are responsible for checking the notification and confirming their eligibility before applying.
