Opening Overview
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has released the Detailed Recruitment Advertisement (DRA) for Common Recruitment Examination (CRE-5) for recruitment to various Non-Faculty Group B & Group C posts in AIIMS and other Central Government Institutes/Bodies. Online registration starts from 13/06/2026 and the last date to apply is 03/07/2026 (up to 5:00 PM).
The examination will be conducted by Examination Section, AIIMS New Delhi through Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Skill Test / PST / PET (where applicable) as per post group.

Age Limit
Age is calculated as on 03/07/2026 (closing date of online registration). Post-wise age limits vary as per Recruitment Rules of the participating institute.
Standard Age Relaxation (beyond upper age limit):
- SC / ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen (Group B & C): Length of military service + 3 years (as per rules)
- Central Govt. Civilian Employees (Group B): 5 years (with 3 years regular continuous service)
- Central Govt. Civilian Employees (Group C): Up to 40 years (UR), 43 years (OBC), 45 years (SC/ST) (with 3 years regular continuous service)
- Jammu & Kashmir Domicile (Group C): UR 5 years, OBC 8 years, SC/ST 10 years
- Widows/Divorced/Judicially separated women (not remarried): UR up to 35 years, OBC up to 38 years, SC/ST up to 40 years

CRE-5 includes recruitment for multiple institutes such as AIIMS (various locations), ESIC, ICMR, CNCI, VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, Dr. RML Hospital (ABVIMS), Kalawati Saran Children’s Hospital, RIPANS, Pasteur Institute of India, RHTC Najafgarh etc.

Eligibility / Qualification
Eligibility is post-wise and institute-wise. Candidates must ensure they meet the essential qualification and experience on or before 03/07/2026.
Common qualification levels included in CRE-5:
- 10th Pass / Matric (with ITI/Trade certificate for technical posts)
- 12th Pass / 10+2 (with typing/skill test for clerical posts)
- Diploma (Engineering / Pharmacy / Radiography / OT / Lab / etc.)
- Graduate (BA/BSc/BCom/Any Degree depending on post)
- Post Graduate (MSc/MA/MSW/MBA and other specialized qualifications)
Examples (indicative):
- Junior Administrative Assistant / LDC: 12th pass + typing 35 wpm English / 30 wpm Hindi
- Pharmacist: Diploma in Pharmacy + Registered Pharmacist
- Junior Engineer: Degree/Diploma in relevant engineering discipline
- Senior Nursing Officer: B.Sc Nursing + registration + experience (as per institute RR)
Selection Process
- Stage I: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Stage II: Skill Test / Typing Test / Stenography Test / Trade Test / PST (as applicable to the group/post)
- Document Verification by the allocated institute
- Medical Examination (where applicable as per institute rules)
Final merit is prepared primarily on CBT marks. Skill Test (where applicable) is generally qualifying for the respective post.
