The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online. Bank transaction charges for online payment will be borne by the candidate. Payment through demand draft, cheque, money order or postal order will not be accepted.
Age Limit
The age limit is calculated as on 01/08/2026 and varies according to the post:
- Minimum age: 21 years
- Maximum age: 42 years
- Post-wise age limits range from 21–30 years for Officer posts to 32–42 years for certain Chief Manager posts.

The maximum age limit prescribed for General and EWS candidates applies before relaxation. SC, ST and OBC candidates may avail cumulative relaxation with only one of the other eligible relaxation categories, as permitted under the notification. There is no reservation for Ex-Servicemen in the Officers’ Cadre.

Eligibility / Qualification
Candidates must fulfil the post-wise educational qualification, professional certification and experience requirements prescribed in Annexure I of the notification. Candidates are required to upload documents supporting their professional experience, mandatory certifications, educational qualifications and any other applicable eligibility condition during registration.
The following eligibility conditions also apply:
- The candidate must be a citizen of India, or belong to an eligible nationality category specified in the notification, including subjects of Nepal or Bhutan, certain Tibetan refugees and eligible persons of Indian origin who have migrated from specified countries, subject to a Government of India eligibility certificate wherever required.
- Candidates must be willing to work anywhere in India. Bank of India reserves the right to post or transfer selected officers anywhere in India according to its requirements.
- Candidates who previously held a similar post in Bank of India are not eligible.
- A candidate may apply for only one post. If multiple applications are submitted, only the latest valid and completed application will be retained and fees paid for other applications will be forfeited.
- Where a minimum of 60% marks is prescribed, SC, ST, OBC and PwBD candidates applying against reserved vacancies are entitled to a 5% relaxation and should have at least 55% marks.
- Graduation percentage must be calculated according to the norms of the concerned university. CGPA or OGPA must be converted into percentage and entered in the application form. Fractions of percentage will be ignored.
- The result of the prescribed qualification must have been declared on or before 01/08/2026.
Selection Process
Selection will be conducted through the following stages, depending on the number of applicants and eligible candidates:
- Scrutiny of eligibility documents uploaded during registration.
- Online examination, where conducted.
- Personal interview.
- Final merit list and document verification.
- Medical fitness and other pre-appointment requirements.
Bank of India may conduct selection solely through personal interview without holding an online examination. In that case, candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualification, experience and overall suitability, and the final merit list will be prepared using interview marks.
Where both the online examination and interview are conducted, the weightage will be 60:40. The online examination marks considered for merit will be the marks obtained in the Professional Knowledge test. Candidates must be suitable in both the online examination and interview for final selection.

- The English Language test is qualifying in nature and its marks will not be added to the merit list.
- The English Language and Professional Knowledge tests require separate qualifying marks.
- Minimum qualifying marks for General and EWS candidates are 35% in each test.
- SC, ST, OBC and PwBD candidates applying against relevant reserved vacancies receive a 5% relaxation in qualifying marks.
- It is mandatory to qualify in each test.
- Tests other than English Language will be available bilingually in English and Hindi.
- There will be a penalty of one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question for every wrong answer in objective tests. No penalty will apply to unanswered questions.
Interview
- Maximum interview marks: 100
- Minimum qualifying marks for General/EWS candidates: 50%
- Minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates against reserved vacancies: 45%
- Candidates will generally be called for interview in a ratio of 1:3 to the number of vacancies, subject to change at the Bank’s discretion.
- In case of equal marks, the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list. Where both online examination and interview are conducted, online examination marks will be considered first for tie-breaking.

Security Deposit
Selected candidates must deposit a security amount, refundable after three years of satisfactory service. The amount may be forfeited if the officer leaves the Bank before completing three years of service.

PwBD and Scribe Facilities
Reservation is available for eligible Persons with Benchmark Disabilities under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. Eligible categories include orthopaedic disabilities, visual impairment, hearing impairment and intellectual disabilities, subject to the prescribed benchmark disability certification requirements.
- A candidate using a scribe must arrange the scribe at their own cost.
- The scribe must belong to an academic stream different from that prescribed for the post.
- The scribe must not be another candidate for this recruitment examination or a scribe for another candidate in the same examination process.
- Scribe details and compensatory time requirements must be indicated during online registration.
- Eligible candidates using a scribe may receive compensatory time of 20 minutes per hour of examination.
- Visually impaired candidates with at least 40% disability may opt for magnified test content and compensatory time, but magnified content will not be available to candidates using a scribe.
- Candidates with intellectual disabilities exceeding 40% may receive compensatory time whether or not they use a scribe.
- Candidates with specified disabilities below 40% who have difficulty writing may receive compensatory time subject to a certificate from a competent medical authority.
EWS Eligibility
Candidates claiming EWS reservation must produce an Income and Asset Certificate in the prescribed Government of India format. The family’s gross annual income must be below ₹8,00,000 for the relevant financial year, and the family must not possess any of the following assets:
- Agricultural land of 5 acres or more.
- Residential flat of 1,000 square feet or more.
- Residential plot of 100 square yards or more in notified municipalities.
- Residential plot of 200 square yards or more in areas other than notified municipalities.
For this recruitment, the EWS certificate should be based on income for Financial Year 2025–26. EWS vacancies are provisional and subject to Government of India directives and the outcome of litigation.
Documents Required at Interview
Candidates called for interview must produce original documents along with self-attested photocopies, including:
- Valid interview call letter.
- System-generated online application form.
- Proof of date of birth.
- Valid photo identity proof.
- Educational qualification mark sheets and certificates.
- SC, ST or OBC certificate, wherever applicable.
- EWS Income and Asset Certificate, wherever applicable.
- PwBD certificate, wherever applicable.
- Scribe biodata and prescribed forms, if applicable.
- Ex-Servicemen service or discharge book, pension payment order and rank proof, wherever applicable.
- No Objection Certificate from the employer for candidates serving in Government departments, public sector undertakings, nationalised banks or financial institutions.
- Experience certificates and mandatory professional certification documents.
- Government of India eligibility certificate for eligible nationality categories requiring such certification.
OBC candidates must submit a Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued on or after 01/04/2026, with the caste name matching the Central Government list. Failure to produce the required documents may result in cancellation of candidature.
Examination Centres
The tentative online examination centres are located in Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi NCR, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.
The candidate cannot request a change of examination centre. Bank of India may cancel centres, add centres or allot a candidate to a centre other than the one selected, depending on administrative feasibility and the response received.
Important Instructions
- Call letters for the online examination and interview will be available through the Bank’s website; hard copies will not be sent by post or courier.
- Candidates must carry the original photo identity proof bearing exactly the same name as mentioned in the call letter, along with a photocopy.
- Ration cards and learner’s driving licences will not be accepted as valid identity proof.
- Mobile phones, pagers, calculators and other communication devices are prohibited in the examination premises.
- Candidates should report at least 15 minutes before the reporting time mentioned in the call letter.
- Applications cannot be withdrawn after registration and the fee will not be refunded.
- Submission of false information, use of unfair means, impersonation, carrying prohibited devices or any misconduct may lead to cancellation, debarment and legal or disciplinary action.
- Selected candidates must be medically fit and comply with Bank of India’s service and conduct rules.
