Eligibility / Qualification

Nationality

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen.
  • Male / Female / Third Gender candidates are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification (as on 01/08/2025)

Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university/equivalent with at least one of the following subjects:

  • Animal Husbandry & Animal Science
  • Botany
  • Chemistry
  • Geology
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Statistics
  • Zoology

OR

  • Agriculture Graduate
  • Forestry
  • Engineering Degree

Physical Standards (Height / Chest)

Note: No marks will be awarded for height/chest, but candidates not meeting standards will be declared unsuccessful.

Minimum Height

  • UR / BC / EBC / SC Male: 163 cm
  • ST Male: 152.5 cm
  • UR / BC / EBC / SC Female: 150 cm
  • ST Female: 145 cm

Chest (Only for Male)

  • Without expansion: 79 cm (minimum)
  • With expansion: 84 cm (minimum)
  • Minimum expansion difference required: 5 cm

Third Gender candidates: Physical standards and physical efficiency standards will be applicable as per BC category.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

  • Male (all categories): 25 km walk within 4 hours
  • Female (all categories): 14 km walk within 4 hours

Candidates failing PET will not be recommended for appointment, even if they have marks in written exam/interview.

  3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
  4. Medical Examination

Merit list will be prepared based on Written Exam (Paper 2 marks) + Interview marks. Paper 1 (General Hindi) is qualifying only.
