Age Relaxation:
- Bihar Government regular employees (minimum 3 years of continuous service): 5 years relaxation in maximum age for appearing in competitive exams for higher pay level/service cadre.
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years + length of defence service relaxation, subject to actual age not exceeding 57 years on the cut-off date.

Notes on Reservation (as per notification):
- Reservation benefits (including 35% horizontal reservation for women) are applicable only to Bihar domicile candidates.
- Candidates from other states will be treated as Unreserved (UR).
- 2% horizontal reservation is applicable for eligible dependents (grandson/granddaughter) of Bihar’s freedom fighters as per rules.
Eligibility / Qualification
- Nationality: Indian citizen.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (Graduation) or equivalent on or before 01/08/2025.
- Only one application: A candidate can submit only one online application. Multiple applications may lead to rejection.

Minimum qualifying in Prelims:
- Candidates scoring less than 30% marks in Prelims will not be considered for the Main Exam.
Shortlisting for Mains:
- Based on Prelims marks, up to 10 times the vacancies (category-wise merit) will be shortlisted for the Main Exam (ratio may be reduced if sufficient eligible candidates are not available).
- If the exam is held in multiple shifts/sets, marks will be normalized using the Equi-Percentile Method.

Minimum marks requirement in Mains:
