Age Relaxation (as per rules mentioned in the notification):
- Bihar Government employees (regular service with minimum 3 years): maximum age relaxation 5 years for appearing in competitive exams for higher pay level/service/cadre.
- Ex-Servicemen: maximum age relaxation 3 years + length of defence service, subject to the condition that actual age on cut-off date should not exceed 57 years.

Eligibility / Qualification
- Nationality: Indian citizen.
- Educational Qualification: Candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation) or equivalent on or before 01/08/2025.
- Reservation Eligibility: Benefits of reservation (including 35% women reservation) are applicable only to permanent residents of Bihar. Candidates of other states will be treated as Unreserved (UR).

- Marking: +2 marks for each correct answer.
- Minimum qualifying: candidates scoring less than 30% marks will not be considered for Main Exam.
- Shortlisting: based on prelim marks, up to 10 times the vacancies (category-wise merit) may be shortlisted for Main Exam (ratio may be reduced if sufficient eligible candidates are not available).
- If exam is conducted in multiple shifts/papers, marks will be normalized using Equi-Percentile Method.
