Application Fee
Note: Candidates who had applied earlier in CET Group C Advt. No. 1/2025 do not need to pay the fee. Only fresh applicants for CET Group D will pay the fee as per category.
As per CET Policy (Notification No. 42/119/2019-5HR-II dated 31/12/2024), the Standard Rate is ₹ 1,000 and the payable fee is a percentage of the Standard Rate.

Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 42 Years
- Age Calculation Date: As on closing date of registration (03/07/2026)
- Age Relaxation: As per Haryana Government Instructions No. 22/06/2021-1GS-III dated 25/03/2022 (key relaxations include SC: 5 years, Backward Classes: 5 years, PwBD: 10 years + additional as per rules, Widowed/Divorced/Unmarried women: 5 years, Ex-Servicemen: as per rules, Adhoc/Contract/Work-charged/Daily wages in Haryana Govt: relaxation equal to completed years on equivalent post, subject to max age 52 years as per instructions).

Eligibility / Qualification
For Group D posts (except Sweeper, Chowkidar and Sweeper-cum-Chowkidar)
- Matriculation (10th) from a recognized Board
- Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matriculation as one of the subjects
Important Reservation Condition (Haryana Domicile)
- Reservation benefits for DSC/OSC/BCA/BCB/EWS/PwBD/ESP/ESM are applicable only to bonafide residents of Haryana.
- Reserved category candidates of other States/UTs will be considered under General category only.
Certificate Issue Date Conditions (as per advertisement)
- BCA/BCB/EWS: Supporting certificate must be issued on or after 01/04/2026 and on or before the closing date.
- DSC/OSC: Supporting certificate must be issued after 13/11/2024 and on or before the closing date.
- PwBD & ESP: Supporting certificate must be issued before the closing date.
- Family member of ESM (Eligibility Certificate): Issued/renewed on or after 20/06/2025 and on or before the closing date.
Selection Process
- Common Eligibility Test (CET) Written Examination (OMR Based, Offline)
- Shortlisting based on CET marks for Group D recruitment as per applicable rules/policy
- Document scrutiny/verification (only uploaded documents are considered by HSSC for scrutiny; final genuineness verification is done by the appointing department at joining/appointment stage as per rules)

Negative Marking Rules
- No negative marking for wrong answers.
- If a candidate does not want to attempt a question, the candidate must fill the 5th bubble on OMR.
- If the 5th bubble is not filled for an unattempted question, it will be treated as unattempted and 1 mark will be deducted.
- Unattempted question penalty: -1 mark (when not marked as unattempted using the 5th bubble).
Minimum Qualifying Marks
- General Category: 50%
- Reserved Category (Vertical & Horizontal): 40%
Syllabus / Weightage (Group D)
The CET syllabus is divided into two parts:
- 75% Weightage: General Awareness, Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, English, Hindi, and relevant/concerned subject(s) as applicable
- 25% Weightage: Haryana History, Current Affairs, Literature, Geography, Environment, Culture, etc.
Salary / Pay Scale
- Pay scale/salary for specific Group D posts will be as per the respective post advertisement to be issued later by HSSC/Departments (CET is an eligibility test for Group D recruitment).
