- All other advertised posts: 18 to 45 years for UR and EWS candidates.
- Reserved categories of Himachal Pradesh: 18 to 50 years, where the post is reserved for the concerned category.
- Himachal Pradesh Government employees: 18 to 50 years, subject to applicable government orders and directions.
- Five years' upper-age relaxation is available to bona fide SC, ST and OBC candidates of Himachal Pradesh and persons with benchmark disabilities of Himachal Pradesh, where the post is reserved for the concerned category.

Eligibility / Qualification
Court Manager
- Graduation in any stream.
- Master of Business Administration from a University or Institution in India recognized by the University Grants Commission.
- At least 3 years of experience in Process Management, IT Systems Management, Human Resources Management or Financial Management.
- Desirable: Good knowledge of legal affairs and computer applications.
- Age: 25 to 35 years.
Clerk
- Graduation from a recognized University.
- Basic computer knowledge, including operating computers, Windows and Linux operating systems, typing and taking printouts.
- Must qualify a typing test with a speed of 30 words per minute in English and 25 words per minute in Hindi on computers using Kruti Dev-10 font.
Stenographer Grade-III
- Graduation degree from a recognized University.
- Must qualify an English stenography test at 80 words per minute.
- Accurate transcription of dictated matter must be completed within five times the time allotted for dictation.
- Must qualify a typing test at 40 words per minute in English and 30 words per minute in Hindi using Kruti Dev-10 font.
- Not more than 10% mistakes are permitted in transcription and typing tests.
Driver
- Matriculation passed from a recognized Board.
- Valid driving licence for Light Motor Vehicles for at least three years.
- At least three years' experience as an LMV driver.
- Preference will be given to candidates having good mechanical knowledge of automobiles.
Process Server
- 10+2 passed from a recognized Board.
Peon/Orderly/Chowkidar/Safai Karamchari and Related Group-D Posts
- 10+2 passed from a recognized Board.
- Candidates may be posted to any of the applied posts by the appointing authority in a Civil and Sessions Division.
Selection Process
- Court Manager: Written Test and Viva-voce as per Schedule-III, Part 3, Phase-I and Phase-II of the Himachal Pradesh District Judiciary Staff Rules, 2022.
- Clerk: Screening Test, Written Test, Typing Test and Document Verification.
- Stenographer Grade-III: Screening Test, Stenography Test and Typing Test.
- Driver: Screening Test, Driving Proficiency Test and Document Verification.
- Process Server: Screening Test, Written Test and Evaluation.
- Group-D Posts: Shortlisting in the ratio of 1:3 for Evaluation and Document Verification based on 10+2 marks and document evaluation.
For Group-D posts, educational qualification marks will carry 85 marks, calculated according to the percentage obtained in 10+2, and document evaluation will carry 15 marks. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of educational qualification and evaluation marks.

General Instructions
- Applicants must be citizens of India and must fulfil the prescribed qualification, eligibility, age, category and experience conditions by the last date of online application.
- Candidates must possess knowledge of the customs and dialects of Himachal Pradesh. For Group-C posts, the required qualification must have been obtained from a school or institution situated within Himachal Pradesh, and for Group-D posts, the required middle, matriculation or 10+2 qualification must have been obtained from an institution in Himachal Pradesh. This condition does not apply to bona fide Himachalis.
- Candidates must upload the required educational, age-proof, category, experience and other certificates. Only documents mentioned and uploaded with the online application will ordinarily be considered during verification.
- Candidates already employed in Government or semi-Government organizations must submit an online application through proper channel along with a No Objection Certificate to the Registrar General within 15 days from the last date of application. Job trainees, contractual, casual, ad hoc, daily-wage and work-charged employees are exempt from this requirement.
- Candidates should apply only once for a particular post; separate applications are not required for regular, contractual and daily-wage vacancies of the same post.
- The category once claimed will be treated as final. Vacancies may increase or decrease due to administrative reasons.
- Initially, results for regular vacancies will be declared, followed by results for contractual and daily-wage vacancies after regular vacancies are filled. Candidates will not be permitted to switch between appointment modes after declaration of final results.
- Examination schedules and other updates will be communicated through SMS and email registered in the online application. Candidates should keep their registered mobile number and email address active.
- Division or district allocation will be made according to merit, preference and availability of posts. The High Court may alter or ignore preferences in the administrative interest, and the allotted division will be final.
- Re-checking or re-evaluation of answer sheets will not be permitted.
- The application cannot be withdrawn or modified after submission, although it may be cancelled without refund of the fee.
