Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the notification for CRP PO/MT-XVI for recruitment of Probationary Officer / Management Trainee (PO/MT) in participating Public Sector Banks for vacancies of 2027-28. The online application will be accepted from 01/07/2026 to 21/07/2026 and the selection will be through Prelims, Mains, Personality Test and Interview.

Age Limit
- Age Limit (as on 01/07/2026): 20 to 30 years
- Candidate must be born not earlier than 02/07/1996 and not later than 01/07/2006 (both dates inclusive)
Age Relaxation (Upper Age Limit):
- SC / ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
- PwBD (as per RPwD Act 2016): 10 years
- Ex-Servicemen / Commissioned Officers (ECOs/SSCOs) with at least 5 years service: 5 years (subject to Govt. guidelines)

Eligibility / Qualification
Educational Qualification (as on 21/07/2026):
- Graduation degree in any discipline from a University recognized by Government of India, or any equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
- Candidate must possess valid marksheet/degree certificate proving graduation on the day of registration and must enter graduation percentage in the online form.
Nationality / Citizenship:
- Citizen of India, or subject of Nepal/Bhutan, or Tibetan refugee (before 01/01/1962) intending permanent settlement, or Person of Indian Origin migrated from specified countries intending permanent settlement (certificate of eligibility required for applicable categories).

Negative Marking:
- 0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer in objective tests.

Final Merit:
- Marks of Main Exam only are considered for shortlisting for Personality Test & Interview and for final merit listing.
- Interview marks: 100; minimum qualifying: 40% (General/EWS) and 35% (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
- Weightage: Main Exam : Interview = 80 : 20.
