Age Limit

Eligibility / Qualification
Candidates must be unmarried (male & female). Female candidates must undertake not to get pregnant during the 4-year engagement period.
A) Science Subjects Eligibility
Any one of the following:
- 10+2 / Intermediate / Equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and English from a recognized board with 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
- 3 Years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a recognized Polytechnic with 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma (or in Intermediate/Matric if English not in Diploma).
OR
- 2 Years Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board with 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational (or in Intermediate/Matric if English not in Vocational).
B) Other Than Science Subjects Eligibility
Any one of the following:
- 10+2 / Intermediate / Equivalent in any stream from a recognized board with 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
- 2 Years Vocational Course from a recognized board with 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational (or in Intermediate/Matric if English not in Vocational).
Important Notes (Qualification):
- Candidates eligible for Science Subjects are also eligible for Other Than Science Subjects and may opt to appear in both in one sitting while filling the online form.
- Aggregate percentage will be considered as written before decimal in marksheet (example: 49.99% = 49%, no rounding).

Salary / Pay Scale
Agniveer Package (Monthly)
Agniveervayu will be paid an Agniveer package starting ₹30,000 per month with yearly increment. In addition, Risk & Hardship Allowance (as applicable), Dress Allowance and Travel Allowance will be paid. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation and LTC will be provided as per rules.

- Minimum Height:
- Male: 152 cm
- Female: 152 cm (Relaxation: 147 cm for North East / hilly regions of Uttarakhand; 150 cm for Lakshadweep)
- Chest (Male): Minimum 77 cm with minimum expansion 5 cm
- Chest (Female): Minimum expansion 5 cm
- Hearing: Forced whisper audible from 6 meters (each ear separately)
- Dental: Minimum 14 dental points; orthodontic appliances lead to unfit
- Vision (as provided): 6/12 each eye correctable to 6/6; Refractive error limits: Hypermetropia +2.0D, Myopia -1D, including ±0.50D astigmatism; Colour Vision CP-II
- Candidates with history of LASIK/PRK are not accepted

- Admit card for Phase-I will be sent on registered email 48-72 hours before exam and can also be downloaded from candidate login.
- Candidates must carry original Aadhaar card for Phase-I & Phase-II (Candidates from J&K, Ladakh, Assam, Meghalaya exempted if not having Aadhaar; must carry other valid ID).
- Mobile phones / smart watches / electronic devices are prohibited in testing areas; possession may lead to permanent debarment.
