Eligibility / Qualification

Candidates must be unmarried (male & female). Female candidates must undertake not to get pregnant during the 4-year engagement period.

A) Science Subjects Eligibility

Any one of the following:

  • 10+2 / Intermediate / Equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and English from a recognized board with 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR

  • 3 Years Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile / Computer Science / Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from a recognized Polytechnic with 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma (or in Intermediate/Matric if English not in Diploma).

OR

  • 2 Years Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board with 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational (or in Intermediate/Matric if English not in Vocational).

B) Other Than Science Subjects Eligibility

Any one of the following:

  • 10+2 / Intermediate / Equivalent in any stream from a recognized board with 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English.

OR

  • 2 Years Vocational Course from a recognized board with 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational (or in Intermediate/Matric if English not in Vocational).

Important Notes (Qualification):

  • Candidates eligible for Science Subjects are also eligible for Other Than Science Subjects and may opt to appear in both in one sitting while filling the online form.
  • Aggregate percentage will be considered as written before decimal in marksheet (example: 49.99% = 49%, no rounding).

Salary / Pay Scale

Agniveer Package (Monthly)

Agniveervayu will be paid an Agniveer package starting ₹30,000 per month with yearly increment. In addition, Risk & Hardship Allowance (as applicable), Dress Allowance and Travel Allowance will be paid. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation and LTC will be provided as per rules.

Seva Nidhi (Terminal Benefit): After 4 years, approximately ₹10.04 lakh (absolute amount excluding interest). No gratuity and no pensionary benefits.
