Eligibility / Qualification
Medical Assistant Trade (10+2 / Intermediate)
- Passed 10+2 / Intermediate / Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized Central/State/UT board.
- Minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English.
OR
- Passed two years’ vocational course with non-vocational subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
- Minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English.
Medical Assistant Trade (Diploma / B. Pharma / B.Sc in Pharmacy)
- Passed 10+2 / Intermediate / Equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
- Minimum 50% marks aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- Additionally, Diploma / B. Pharma / B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks aggregate.
- Valid registration from State Pharmacy Council / Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) is mandatory at the time of enrolment.

Marking Scheme:
- +1 for each correct answer

Other Key Points:
- Questions will be bilingual (English & Hindi) except the English paper.
- Candidates must qualify in each paper separately.
- If required, marks may be normalised as per formula published on the portal.
- Question paper, answer key and individual response will be available for three days during the Objection Management period after the exam.
Salary / Pay Scale
- Stipend during training: ₹14,600 per month
- Starting gross emoluments after training (including MSP): ₹26,900 per month
- Additional benefits include Dearness Allowance and other allowances as per rules (Transport Allowance, CPMA, LRA, Children Education Allowance, HRA, etc.).
- Group Insurance Cover: ₹62.5 lakh (premium ₹3,200 per month) as per existing rules.
Medical Standards (Key Highlights)
- Minimum Height (Medical Assistant / Pharmacist): 152 cm
- Chest: Minimum 77 cm with minimum expansion of 5 cm
- Hearing: Forced whisper audible from 6 meters (each ear separately)
- Dental: Minimum 14 dental points; orthodontic appliances lead to unfit; implants not awarded points
- Vision (Medical Assistant / Pharmacist):
- Visual acuity: 6/36 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye
- Refractive error: Not exceeding +3.50D including astigmatism
- Colour vision: CP-II
- LASIK/PRK history: Not accepted

Important Instructions / Restrictions
- Admit card for Phase-I will be sent on registered email 48-72 hours before exam and can also be downloaded from candidate login.
- Carry original Aadhaar card for Phase-I and Phase-II (candidates from J&K, Ladakh, Assam, Meghalaya may carry other valid ID if Aadhaar not available).
- Mobile phones / smart watches / electronic devices are prohibited in testing areas; possession can lead to permanent debarment.
- Permanent tattoos are generally not permitted except allowed locations/customary tribal tattoos (as per rules in notification).
- Consumption of narcotic drugs / psychotropic substances is a rejection criterion; IAF follows zero tolerance for alcoholism and substance abuse.
- This selection test is not for Commissioned Officers / Pilots / Navigators / Agniveervayu.
