Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Marketing Division, Northern Region has invited online applications for engagement of Trade, Technician and Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961. A total of 433 apprentice seats are available across Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.
Eligible candidates can apply through the relevant NAPS/NATS portal and must also submit the Microsoft Office Form by 06/09/2026 at 05:00 PM.

PwBD reservation for Graduate Apprentice and Data Entry Operator disciplines will be applied horizontally across all categories. PwBD candidates are not eligible for discipline codes 101 to 111.

Additional eligibility conditions include:
- All qualifications must be obtained through a regular full-time course from a recognized institute or university. Part-time, correspondence and distance-learning qualifications are not eligible.
- Candidates with CGPA, OGPA or letter grades must provide the equivalent aggregate percentage certificate during document verification.
- Lateral-entry Diploma candidates may be considered if they satisfy the required percentage based on aggregate marks of all Diploma semesters.
- Candidates applying through NATS or NAPS must not have completed five years in the relevant discipline after acquiring the prescribed qualification, calculated as on 31/08/2026.
- Candidates possessing or pursuing higher professional qualifications such as B.E., MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB or equivalent are not eligible.
- Diploma or vocational certificate holders with one year or more of job experience after obtaining the qualification are not eligible.
- A candidate may undergo a maximum of two apprenticeship trainings, and the second training must not be in the same trade. Other restrictions regarding the gap between trainings and previous apprenticeship contracts will apply.
- Candidates can apply for only one discipline code. Applications for more than one discipline code will be rejected.
Selection Process
- Registration and application through the applicable NAPS/NATS portal.
- Preparation of a merit list based on the percentage of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification.
- In case of equal marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If the date of birth is also the same, higher Matriculation marks will be considered.
- Preference will be given to candidates undergoing apprenticeship training for the first time.
- Document verification of shortlisted candidates.
- Pre-engagement medical fitness test.
- Issue of the apprenticeship engagement offer to candidates found suitable.
There will be no written examination or interview. Candidates must fulfil IOCL’s pre-engagement medical standards.
Salary / Pay Scale
The stipend will be paid according to the Apprentices Act, 1961, Apprentices Rules, 1992 and applicable government guidelines. In addition to the statutory stipend, IOCL will pay ₹2,500 per month towards miscellaneous expenses.
- Graduate and Technician Apprentices will receive the Government’s share of stipend through BOAT under the Direct Benefit Transfer scheme.
- Trade Apprentices under NAPS will receive the stipend in full from IOCL, subject to applicable guidelines.
- Candidates must have an Aadhaar-seeded and DBT-enabled bank account. NATS candidates must correctly update their bank account details, APAAR ID and e-KYC on the portal.
- A maximum amount of ₹3,000 may be reimbursed towards pre-engagement medical tests and investigations against submission of receipts.
- The apprenticeship training period is 12 months. Completion of training does not create any right to regular employment in IOCL.
Documents Required for Verification
Shortlisted candidates must produce the original documents along with self-attested copies, including:
- Matriculation/Class 10 mark sheet or certificate for date of birth.
- Valid caste certificate, wherever applicable.
- Valid OBC-NCL certificate in the prescribed Government of India format. The certificate should be issued on or after 01/09/2025, or a more recent valid certificate may be produced at document verification.
- Institute certificate confirming regular-mode study and year of passing.
- Semester-wise or year-wise mark sheets of ITI, Class 12th, Graduation or Diploma.
- Final ITI, Class 12th, Graduation or Diploma certificate issued by the competent authority.
- Aadhaar card, PAN card, first page of Aadhaar-seeded bank passbook and cancelled cheque.
- Pre-engagement medical fitness certificate.
Application Requirements
Candidates must register on the relevant portal and have a valid Apprentice Registration or Enrolment Number:
- NAPS: For ITI Trade Apprentices and Data Entry Operator Apprentices.
- NATS: For Technician Apprentices and Graduate Apprentices.
- Candidates must complete and verify their personal, educational and category details on the portal before applying.
- Candidates must also submit the Microsoft Office Form with their preferred State and three preferred locations. Only one response will be accepted.
- The preferred location may be considered, but the actual posting will depend on IOCL’s operational requirements.
- Candidates must have an active email ID and mobile number valid for at least one year, as all future communication will be sent through email or SMS.
- The NATS establishment ID is NDLSDC000005 and the NAPS establishment ID is E05200700003.
- Candidates should have a PAN card, Aadhaar card, active bank account and cheque book. The bank account must be Aadhaar-seeded and enabled for DBT.
Reservation will be applied according to the prescribed rules applicable to the concerned State or Union Territory. SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates applying for Unreserved seats must fulfil the standards applicable to General category candidates.
