Community-wise and trade-wise breakup is provided unit-wise in Annexure-I to Annexure-VIII. Horizontal reservation mentioned:

  • PwBD: 4%
  • Ex-Servicemen: 10%

Eligibility / Qualification

For Most Trades

Candidate must:

  • Have passed Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent under 10+2 system.
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Class 10.
  • Possess National Trade Certificate (ITI) in the notified trade issued by NCVT OR Provisional Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT.

Important relaxation:

  • The 50% minimum marks in Matriculation is not applicable to SC / ST / PwBD candidates.

For Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology) & Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology)

  • Must have passed 12th Class (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
  • Must have minimum 50% marks in both Class 10 and Class 12.
  • Class 10 and Class 12 (PCB) mark sheets and pass certificates must be uploaded.

Mandatory Documents to Upload (Online)

  • ITI provisional certificate / NTC (NCVT/SCVT)
  • Final ITI mark sheet
  • For Medical Lab Technician trades: Class 12 (PCB) mark sheet and pass certificate (along with Class 10)

Selection Process

  1. Merit List Preparation (Unit-wise / Trade-wise / Community-wise)
  2. Shortlisting for Document Verification (DV) up to 1.5 times of notified slots
  3. Document Verification (DV) by respective Division/Workshop/Unit
  4. Submission of Medical Certificate as per prescribed format (Annexure-XI)

Merit Criteria:

  • For most trades: Average of Class 10 marks (minimum 50% aggregate) + ITI marks in the relevant trade.
  • For Lab Technician (Pathology/Radiology): Average of Class 10 marks (minimum 50% aggregate) + 12th Science (PCB).

Tie-breaking:

  • Higher age (older candidate) gets higher rank.
  • If DOB is same, candidate who passed matriculation earlier gets preference.

Salary / Pay Scale

  • Apprentices will be paid stipend as per applicable rules.
  • Current minimum stipend for NTC/STC holders: ₹ 9,600 per month (effective from 11/09/2025).
  • Where 1 or 2 years’ exemption is admissible under apprenticeship curriculum:
    • 2nd year: ₹ 10,560 (10% increase)
    • 3rd year: ₹ 11,040 (15% increase)

Stipend rates are subject to revision by competent authority.

Exam Pattern

No written examination is mentioned. Selection is based on merit (academic marks) followed by Document Verification and medical fitness.
