NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has invited online applications from experienced professionals for 114 posts of Assistant Engineer – RE and Deputy General Manager – RE in the renewable energy area. Eligible Indian nationals can apply online for postings at NGEL Corporate Centre, stations, sites, clusters, joint ventures and subsidiaries across India. Application Fee

Age Limit

The age and experience will be calculated with reference to the last date of receipt of the online application.

• Assistant Engineer – RE: Maximum age of 40 years.
• Deputy General Manager – RE: Maximum age of 44 years.
• SC/ST candidates: 5 years relaxation, wherever the post is identified for the category.
• OBC candidates: 3 years relaxation, wherever the post is identified for the category.
• PwBD candidates: 10 years relaxation, wherever the post is identified for the category.
• Ex-Servicemen age relaxation will be available as per Government guidelines.

Vacancy Details

The vacancies are projected vacancies calculated according to the existing roster position. Reservations for PwBD candidates will be provided as per Government guidelines. NGEL Management may increase or decrease the number of vacancies at its discretion.

Eligibility / Qualification

Assistant Engineer – RE, E-0 Grade

• Educational Qualification: Full-time regular Diploma in Engineering in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical and Electronics, or Instrumentation from a State Technical Board or an AICTE/UGC-recognized institute, with passing marks.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of post-qualification site experience in the power sector, including training period where applicable, in a Government organization, public sector undertaking or private organization.
• At least 6 years of experience must be in grid-connected solar and/or wind projects of 50 MW or more in Operation and Maintenance or Asset Management.
• Upper Age Limit: 40 years.

Deputy General Manager – RE, E-6 Grade

• Educational Qualification: Full-time Graduate Degree in Engineering in Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics, Control and Instrumentation, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• The degree must be from a recognized Indian university or institute recognized by the appropriate statutory authority.
• General, OBC and EWS candidates require a minimum of 60% marks. SC, ST and PwBD candidates with passing marks are eligible.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years of post-qualification executive-cadre experience in the power sector, including training period where applicable, in a Government organization, public sector undertaking or private organization.
• At least 10 years of experience must be with a renewable energy developer working on solar and/or wind projects.
• The applicant must have at least 2 years of site experience in grid-connected solar and/or wind projects of 50 MW or more in Project Construction, Erection, Project Commissioning or a combination of these areas.
• Candidates from Government organizations or public sector undertakings must have at least 2 years of experience in the ₹80,000–₹2,20,000 or above IDA pay scale, equivalent to E-5 Grade or above under the DPE pay scale effective from 01/01/2017, within the required 12 years of executive experience.
• Upper Age Limit: 44 years.

General Eligibility Conditions

• Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
• All qualifications must be obtained from recognized and approved universities or institutions in India.
• Candidates must possess valid category certificates in the latest prescribed Government of India format. The category entered in the online application cannot be changed later.
• Candidates must be medically fit. Before joining, selected candidates will undergo a medical examination at a specified Government hospital having at least the status of a district hospital. No relaxation in the prescribed health standards is allowed.
• The identified disabilities for the posts include eligible categories of blindness and low vision, deaf and hard of hearing, locomotor disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, specific learning disability, mental illness and multiple disabilities, as applicable to the relevant engineering discipline.

Selection Process

NGEL may conduct a multi-stage selection process, depending on the number of applicants and organizational requirements. The process may include:

1. Application shortlisting or screening based on qualification, marks and experience.
2. Written Test, if conducted.
3. Group Discussion, if conducted.
4. Personal Interview.
5. Any combination of the above stages.

NGEL reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards or modify the selection process as required. Mere submission of an application or fulfilment of minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting or a call for the next stage.

Salary / Pay Scale

Dearness Allowance, other perquisites and allowances, terminal benefits and other benefits will be admissible according to the company rules in force from time to time.

Documents Required

Candidates must upload clear, legible and self-attested documents with the online application, including:

• Class 10/Matriculation certificate or marksheet and valid Aadhaar Card and PAN Card as proof of name and date of birth.
• Diploma marksheets/transcript and passing certificate for candidates applying for the E-0 Grade post.
• Engineering marksheets/transcript and passing certificate for candidates applying for the E-6 Grade post.
• Marks conversion formula for conversion of CGPA, CGPI, DGPA, CGI or CPI into percentage.
• Certificates and marksheets for other qualifications, if applicable.
• Valid caste, disability, OBC-NCL or EWS certificate, wherever applicable.
• OBC-NCL certificate in the Central Government format for financial year 2026-27.
• Current-year EWS Income and Asset Certificate valid for financial year 2026-27, based on income for financial year 2025-26.
• Disability certificate in the latest Central Government format generated through the Swalamban/UDID portal, clearly mentioning the type and percentage of disability.
• Experience documents arranged organization-wise and in reverse chronological order, beginning with the current or recent employer.
• Experience or service certificates, appointment or joining documents, relieving documents where applicable, and two pay slips for each year of service.
• Role assignment orders, organization charts, transfer orders, promotion orders or other documents establishing the position, work area and functional responsibilities.

Incomplete, insufficient, illegible or improperly arranged documents may lead to rejection or non-consideration of the application. Candidates from Government organizations and public sector undertakings must produce a No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of interview.
