The fee is payable online. Candidates from States other than Rajasthan belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC or EWS categories are treated as General category candidates for fee and reservation purposes. Candidates who have already completed One-Time Registration (OTR) may use their existing OTR details.
Age Limit
The candidate must be at least 20 years old and below 25 years of age as on 01/01/2025. Since no fresh advertisement was issued for the post after the 2007 advertisement, candidates exceeding the prescribed age limit may receive an additional three years relaxation as per the applicable rules.

The maximum age cannot exceed the limit prescribed under the applicable service rules. Age relaxation benefits are generally non-cumulative.

Eligibility / Qualification
Candidates must possess either of the following qualifications from a university established by law in India or another qualification declared equivalent by the Government:
- B.Sc. with Physics and Mathematics as subjects.
- B.E. or B.Tech in Telecommunication, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent degree.
- Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari Script.
- Knowledge of Rajasthani Culture.
Candidates appearing in the final year examination of the required qualification may apply, provided they obtain the qualification before the interview and produce documentary proof when required.
Physical Fitness and Standards
Candidates appointed through direct recruitment must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any defect likely to affect the efficient performance of duties.
- Except for women candidates, minimum height: 168 cm.
- Except for women candidates, minimum deflated chest: 81 cm.
- Minimum expanded chest: 86 cm, with at least 5 cm chest expansion.
- Minimum height for women candidates: 152 cm.
- Minimum weight for women candidates: 47.5 kg, except for Saharia candidates.
- SC/ST candidates may receive prescribed relaxation in height and chest standards where eligible candidates meeting the normal standards are unavailable.
- Minimum height for Garhwali and Gurkha candidates: 160 cm.
- Minimum deflated and expanded chest for Garhwali and Gurkha candidates: 79 cm and 84 cm, respectively.
Selection Process
The selection process will be conducted through the following stages:
- Written Competitive Examination.
- Physical Efficiency Test.
- Aptitude Test and Interview.
- Document Verification and medical examination.
- Final recommendation based on merit and applicable service rules.
Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for the Physical Efficiency Test. Candidates qualifying in both the written examination and Physical Efficiency Test will be eligible for the Aptitude Test and Interview.

The examination may be conducted in offline or online mode. All questions will be objective type. The detailed syllabus and standards will be issued separately on the RPSC website.
Candidates must secure 36% marks in each paper and 40% marks in aggregate to qualify in the written examination. SC/ST candidates receive relaxation of up to 5 marks in each paper and in the aggregate, as prescribed.
OMR Instructions and Negative Marking
- Each question will have five options marked 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
- Candidates must darken only one bubble using a blue ballpoint pen.
- It is mandatory to mark one option for every question.
- If a question is not attempted, option 5 must be darkened.
- If none of the five bubbles is darkened, one-third of the marks allotted to that question will be deducted.
- Candidates who fail to darken any option for more than 10% of the questions may be disqualified.
Physical Efficiency Test
The Physical Efficiency Test carries 100 marks. Candidates must secure at least 50% marks in this test to qualify.
Aptitude Test and Interview
The Aptitude Test and Interview carry 50 marks. Marks may be awarded for personality, address, tact, behaviour, specialised training, aptitude for the post, judgment, leadership and knowledge of Rajasthani culture. Candidates holding a Degree or Diploma in Criminology, an NCC “C” Certificate, or having studied Police Administration as a paper may receive due weightage as per the applicable rules.
Salary / Pay Scale
The post carries Pay Matrix Level L-11, with the earlier Grade Pay of ₹4,200. During the probation period, fixed remuneration will be paid according to Rajasthan Government rules. Other admissible allowances will be payable as per applicable service rules after regular appointment.

- Candidates should upload a recent photograph, signature and left-hand thumb impression in the prescribed format.
- The application number must be generated after submission. A preview or incomplete submission will not be treated as a valid application.
- Candidates should print and preserve the submitted application form and application number.
- Only candidates belonging to the eligible category should apply under the relevant reservation category. Incorrect category information may lead to cancellation of candidature.
- RPSC will publish examination and recruitment-related notices on its official website and may not issue separate individual notices.
- Candidates must follow the instructions printed on the e-admission card and comply with examination-centre rules.
