- Hindi: Graduation with Hindi + Intermediate with Sanskrit OR Uttar Madhyama (UP Sanskrit Shiksha Parishad) + B.Ed. (NCTE recognized)
- English: Graduation with English Literature + B.Ed. (NCTE recognized)
- Math: Graduation with Math as one subject + B.Ed. (NCTE recognized)
- Science (Physics/Chemistry): Graduation with Physics and Chemistry + B.Ed. (NCTE recognized)
- Social Science: Graduation with at least two subjects among History, Geography, Political Science, Economics + B.Ed. (NCTE recognized)
- Main Exam Note: Social Science has 4 sections (Geography/History/Economics/Civics); candidates choose any 2 sections.
- Computer: Any one of the following:
- B.Tech./B.E. (Computer Science) OR
- Graduate in Computer Science OR
