Eligibility / Qualification
1) Mining Sirdar, T&S Grade-C
Candidates must have either:
Option A
- Valid Mining Sirdar Competency Certificate issued by DGMS
- Valid Gas Testing Certificate
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- 3 years experience of working in Underground (UG) mines
OR Option B
- Diploma in Mining Engineering from a Government recognized institute
- Valid Overman Competency Certificate issued by DGMS
- Valid Gas Testing Certificate
- Valid First Aid Certificate
Additional eligibility notes:
- Candidates with equivalent qualification approved by Central Government or higher qualification in the relevant discipline are eligible.
- Candidates holding higher statutory competency certificates issued by DGMS are also eligible.
- Qualifications obtained through distance education / part-time mode (or equivalent) are not accepted.
- Since vacancies are for both UG and Opencast (OC) mines, candidates with restricted competency certificates are not eligible.
2) Assistant Foreman (Trainee) (Electrical) / Electrical Supervisor, T&S Grade-C
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (minimum 3 years course) from a Government recognized institute
- Valid Electrical Supervisory Certificate for Mines issued by the appropriate Government
Selection Process
- Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Shortlisting based on CBT marks (category-wise)
- Document Verification (candidates called up to 3 times the number of vacancies category-wise)
- Merit Panel publication on WCL website (based on CBT marks after verification)
- Initial Medical Examination as per company medical standards
Tie-breaking in CBT marks:
- Older candidate (by Date of Birth) will be placed higher; if still tied, then alphabetical order of first name as per matriculation certificate.
