Notes:

  • PwBD reservation is not applicable for Mining Sirdar as the post is not identified for PwBD as per applicable instructions.

Eligibility / Qualification

1) Mining Sirdar, T&S Grade-C

Candidates must have either:

Option A

  • Valid Mining Sirdar Competency Certificate issued by DGMS
  • Valid Gas Testing Certificate
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • 3 years experience of working in Underground (UG) mines

OR Option B

  • Diploma in Mining Engineering from a Government recognized institute
  • Valid Overman Competency Certificate issued by DGMS
  • Valid Gas Testing Certificate
  • Valid First Aid Certificate

Additional eligibility notes:

  • Candidates with equivalent qualification approved by Central Government or higher qualification in the relevant discipline are eligible.
  • Candidates holding higher statutory competency certificates issued by DGMS are also eligible.
  • Qualifications obtained through distance education / part-time mode (or equivalent) are not accepted.
  • Since vacancies are for both UG and Opencast (OC) mines, candidates with restricted competency certificates are not eligible.

2) Assistant Foreman (Trainee) (Electrical) / Electrical Supervisor, T&S Grade-C

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering (minimum 3 years course) from a Government recognized institute
  • Valid Electrical Supervisory Certificate for Mines issued by the appropriate Government

Selection Process

  1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
  2. Shortlisting based on CBT marks (category-wise)
  3. Document Verification (candidates called up to 3 times the number of vacancies category-wise)
  4. Merit Panel publication on WCL website (based on CBT marks after verification)
  5. Initial Medical Examination as per company medical standards

Tie-breaking in CBT marks:

  • Older candidate (by Date of Birth) will be placed higher; if still tied, then alphabetical order of first name as per matriculation certificate.
