Eligibility / Qualification

Two-Year B.Ed. Programme (CET-B.Ed.)

Candidates are eligible if they have:

  • At least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) OR Master’s Degree in Science / Social Science / Humanities / Commerce, OR
  • At least 55% marks in Bachelor’s in Engineering / Technology (B.E. / B.Tech) with specialization in Science and Mathematics, OR
  • Any other equivalent qualification.

Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed.) Programme

Minimum qualification to appear in Shiksha Shastri admission test:

  • At least 50% marks in Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) with Sanskrit as main subject (Shastri / B.A. where Sanskrit is main) OR Master’s Degree in Sanskrit / Acharya in traditional Sanskrit Shastra with 50% marks, OR equivalent qualification.

Additional condition (as per prospectus text):

  • Candidates must have passed Acharya (First Year) or M.A. Sanskrit (First Year) from a recognized university/institution.
  • Or candidates with minimum 50% marks in Two-Year Shastri or B.A. (including Sanskrit subject) must complete a one-year bridge course to be eligible for Shiksha Shastri.
  • For determining the minimum 50% aggregate, marks of Acharya First Year / M.A. First Year / Bridge course are not added.

Key Instructions (as per Prospectus)

  • Application form must be filled online only.
  • Candidates must ensure eligibility; any eligibility shortcoming is the candidate’s responsibility.
  • Keep printout/photocopy of the online application form and registration number for future reference; do not send it to BRABU.
  • Upload recent coloured photo and signature (size 35mm × 45mm, jpg, up to 100 KB each).
  • Upload marksheets (jpeg) of Matric, Intermediate, Graduation, and Postgraduation (as applicable).
  • Identity proof details required: Aadhaar / Voter ID / Driving Licence / Passport number.
  • Email ID will remain the Login ID for CET-B.Ed. 2026.
  • Legal disputes are under Patna High Court jurisdiction.
  • Bihar domicile candidates must upload residential certificate to claim reservation benefits; candidates outside Bihar will be treated as Unreserved.
  • Service Men’s Quota (SMQ) benefit is available to Bihar residents and son or unmarried daughter only (certificate required).

Admit Card

Candidates can download the CET-B.Ed. 2026 Admit Card by logging in with Login ID (Email ID) and Password on the official website as per schedule.

Counselling Note

Qualifying in CET-B.Ed. 2026 / participating in counselling does not guarantee admission. Admission will be granted only after verification of original marksheets and certificates as per eligibility criteria. Candidates should keep visiting the official website for counselling updates.
