JEECUP Admission 2026 - UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam (CBT)

JEECUP has released the UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2026 (CBT) admission brochure. Online applications are open from 15/01/2026 to 30/04/2026, exam will be held from 15/05/2026 to 22/05/2026 and result will be declared on 30/05/2026.

Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) has released the Information Brochure 2026 for UP Joint Entrance Examination (Polytechnic) 2026 for admission in Diploma / Post Diploma / Lateral Entry courses. The entrance exam will be conducted in CBT mode for Group A, E, B, C, D, F, G, H, I, L and K1 to K8. Online application is available from 15/01/2026 to 30/04/2026 on the official website.

  • Minimum Age (Group I - Aeronautical related courses): 16 years

Admission / Course Groups Covered

JEECUP 2026 CBT will be conducted for the following groups:

  • Group A: Diploma in Engineering / Technology
  • Group E: Diploma in Pharmacy
  • Group B, C, D, F, G, H, I, L: Various diploma / post diploma programs as per brochure
  • Group K1 to K8: Lateral Entry (2nd year entry) for Diploma Engineering (as per ITI / Intermediate eligibility)

Note: As per brochure instructions, candidates may apply for multiple groups with restrictions (maximum up to three applications as per the brochure rules).

Eligibility / Qualification (Group-wise)

Below is the key eligibility mentioned in the brochure (minimum marks requirement where specified):

  • Group A (Diploma Engineering / Technology): Class 10 passed with minimum 35% marks.
  • Group B (Agriculture Engineering): Class 10 passed with Agriculture and minimum 35% marks (Intermediate with Agriculture is also acceptable as per brochure).
  • Group C (Fashion Design & Garment Technology / Home Science / Textile Design etc.): Class 10 passed with minimum 35% marks.
  • Group D (Modern Office Management & Secretarial Practice / Library & Information Science etc.): Intermediate (10+2) passed (Hindi and English subjects required as per brochure for specific course).
  • Group E (Diploma in Pharmacy): Intermediate (10+2) passed with Physics and Chemistry compulsory and Mathematics or Biology.
  • Group F (Post Graduate Diploma in Biotechnology - Tissue Culture): B.Sc. with Biology / Chemistry / Biochemistry subjects.
  • Group G (PG Diploma programs like Computer Application, Marketing, Customer Service, Tourism, Web Designing, Cyber Security, Data Science, Drone Technology etc.): Graduation degree.
  • Group H (Diploma in Hotel Management & Catering Technology): Class 12 passed with minimum 35% marks.
  • Group I (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering / Avionics / Helicopter & Powerplants): Intermediate (10+2) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and required aggregate in PCM as per brochure; colour blindness not allowed and specific medical fitness conditions apply.
  • Group K (Lateral Entry - 2nd Year Admission in Diploma Engineering): Intermediate (Science / Vocational / Technical) OR Class 10 + 2 years ITI in relevant trade (as per Group K1-K8 mapping in brochure).
  • Group L (Post Diploma in Industrial Safety): Diploma in Engineering with 2 years experience OR B.Sc. (Physics/Chemistry) with 2 years experience OR BE/B.Tech with 2 years experience.

Candidates are advised to read the brochure tables for exact course-wise eligibility and trade mapping for Group K1 to K8.

Answer Key / Objection (As per brochure)

Before the result and merit list, JEECUP will invite objections on questions / answer key / attempted options through the portal. For each objection, the candidate has to pay ₹100. If the objection is found correct, the fee will be refunded; otherwise it will be forfeited.

Reservation (UP State Rules)

Reservation will be applicable as per the latest UP Government orders. Key percentages mentioned:

  • SC: 21%
  • ST: 2%
  • OBC: 27%
  • EWS: 10%

Horizontal reservation (as per rules) includes categories such as Freedom Fighter dependents, Ex-servicemen / Defence dependents, PwD, and Women (as per brochure).

Counselling / Seat Allotment

  • Counselling will be conducted online.
  • Counselling related detailed schedule and instructions will be available on the official website.
  • Online counselling information will be available from 01/06/2026.
  • Admission through counselling will be completed by 31/07/2026.
