University of Allahabad Ph.D. Admission 2026-27
The University of Allahabad has announced the commencement of the admission process for its Ph.D. Programme for the Academic Session 2026-27. Eligible applicants can submit their applications online through the University Admission Portal from 02/09/2026 to 25/09/2026.
The admission process will be conducted according to the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2022, subsequent amendments, and the University of Allahabad Ph.D. Ordinance.

Eligibility and Accepted Examinations
Applicants must satisfy the eligibility conditions prescribed in the University of Allahabad Ph.D. Admission Brochure 2026-27 and applicable UGC regulations.
For the 2026-27 academic session, results of the following examinations will be considered for Ph.D. admission wherever applicable and subject to the prescribed eligibility conditions:
- UGC-NET examinations conducted in December 2025 and June 2026.
- CSIR-NET examinations conducted in December 2025 and June 2026.
- Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET-DBT).
- DHR-BRET.
- National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM) Doctoral Scholarship Examination.
- Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme.
- GATE.
- JEST.
- ICAR examinations conducted during the prescribed period.

Reservation Details
Reservation of seats will be provided according to the applicable Government of India and UGC rules.
