Opening Overview

University of Allahabad (A Central University), Prayagraj has released the Undergraduate Admission Information Bulletin 2026-2027. UG admissions will be done through CUET (UG) 2026 (and NCET-2026 for ITEP B.A. B.Ed.) followed by registration and counselling on the University Samarth portal.

International Students Fee (Annual)

SAARC Concession: 50% waiver on registration and university fees (excluding professional fees) for students from SAARC countries.

Eligibility Criteria (General)

• Candidate must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) or equivalent from a recognized board.
• Equivalence of qualifying exam will be decided as per University Ordinances-2008 and amendments.
• Admissions are based on CUET (UG) 2026 merit (and NCET-2026 for ITEP).
• Candidate details (Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth) must match the Class 10 certificate.
• Aadhaar and APAAR ID are required for all applicants seeking admission.

CUET (UG) 2026 / NCET-2026 Exam Requirements

CUET (UG) 2026 Sections (For UG Admissions)

Applicants seeking admission through CUET (UG) 2026 must:

• Attempt at least one language: Hindi or English (except Urdu/Arabic/Persian quota admissions).
• Attempt at least one domain subject as per the programme eligibility.
• Attempt General Aptitude Test (compulsory).

NCET-2026 (ITEP B.A. B.Ed.) Sections

For ITEP B.A. B.Ed., admission is through NCET-2026 conducted by NTA. Candidate needs to attempt:

• English and Hindi (both compulsory)
• At least three domain subjects (as per programme table)
• Teaching Aptitude
• General Test

Steps for Admission (Process)

• Step 1: Register on CUET (UG) 2026 / NCET-2026 portal and appear for the exam.
• Step 2: Download score card from CUET (UG) 2026 / NCET-2026 portal.
• Step 3: Register, select programme(s), and pay registration fee on UoA Samarth portal: https://alldunivcuet.samarth.edu.in/
• Step 4: Participate in counselling for desired course/subject combination and pay admission fee.
• Step 5: Download fee receipt.
• Step 6: Physical reporting is mandatory at the concerned Department/Centre with required documents.

Reservation Rules (Government of India Policy)

Category-wise reservation (as per University of Allahabad Act, 2005):

• SC: 15%
• ST: 7.5%
• OBC: 27%
• EWS: 10%

SC/ST Interchangeability: If ST seats remain vacant, they may be filled by SC candidates and vice-versa, subject to eligible candidates.

Special Consideration / Quota

Kashmiri Migrants

Weightage as per Government of India guidelines. Candidate must produce certificate issued by an officer of Ministry of Education not below Joint Secretary rank (or equivalent).

Foreign Nationals / NRI

• Apply through Office of the International Students Advisor (ISA), University of Allahabad.
• Entrance test exemption for international students (admission based on merit of qualifying exam and committee recommendation).
• 20% supernumerary quota across eligible programmes: 10% Foreign Nationals + 10% NRI.

Sports Quota

• 2% weightage of total seats in each subject/course.
• Only last four academic years performance considered: 2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26.
• Fitness test compulsory: 50m Sprint, 1000m running, Over Head Ball Throw, Standing Broad Jump.
• Admission based on merit list by Advisory Committee, Sports Board, UoA.

Persons with Disability (PwD / Divyang)

• 5% seats for persons with benchmark disabilities as per Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
• Benchmark disability: 40% or more (as applicable).
• Candidate must produce valid disability certificate and may be assessed by University Medical Board.

Teacher/Employee Ward Quota

• 5% supernumerary seats (minimum 1 seat) in each course after completion of admission on sanctioned seats.
• Applicable for spouse/children of regularly appointed serving/retired teachers/employees of University/constituent units, with required certification.

Note: SS Khanna Degree College has a sanctioned intake of 50 seats reserved for female candidates only.

Programme-Specific Eligibility & CUET / NCET Requirements

Four-Year Undergraduate Dual Degree Programmes (CUET UG)

Common CUET requirement (for most UG programmes):

• English or Hindi (compulsory)
• General Aptitude Test (compulsory)
• Any ONE domain subject as per programme list

BA: Passed 10+2 in Arts/Science/Commerce.

B.Com: Passed 10+2 in Commerce or Science stream.

B.Sc. (Maths): Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics.

B.Sc. (Biology): Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology.

BCA: Passed 10+2 in Science/Commerce. If 10+2 is other than Science/Commerce, must have studied Mathematics/Statistics/IT/Computer Science/Information Science in 10+2.

B.Voc (Software Development): Same as BCA eligibility.

B.Voc (Food Processing and Technology): 10+2 in Science stream (PCB/PCBM/PCM) or 10+2 with Agriculture.

BFA: Passed 10+2 in any stream.

BPA: Candidate must have Music as a subject at Intermediate level or equivalent Music qualification from a recognized institution.

B.Voc Media Production / BA Media Studies: 10+2 in any stream.

BA Fashion Design & Technology: Only Female candidates; passed 10+2 in Arts/Science/Commerce.

Four Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) (NCET-2026)

• English and Hindi (both compulsory)
• Any three domain subjects from the notified list
• Teaching Aptitude (compulsory)
• General Test (compulsory)

Eligibility: Passed 10+2 in Arts/Science/Commerce.

Five-Year Integrated Programmes (CUET UG)

Family & Community Sciences (Integrated): Only Female candidates; 10+2 with Science group OR other group with Home Science (with required conditions).

Integrated BCA & MCA (Data Science): Same eligibility as BCA.

BALLB (Hons): 10+2 / 11+1 recognized; minimum marks in qualifying exam:

• General: 45%
• OBC: 42%
• SC/ST: 40%

Yoga, Meditation and Philosophy / Management (BBA & MBA) / Disaster Management & Environmental Studies: Passed 10+2 in Arts/Science/Commerce.

Merit / Computed Score (Self-Calculation Guidance)

University will prepare merit list based on computed score for the selected programme.

For ITEP (B.A. B.Ed.), computed score includes:
