Overview

The examination fee is payable online through Credit Card, Debit Card or UPI. Applicable bank charges may be charged separately by the payment gateway or bank. Candidates should preserve the payment receipt.
Age Limit
The minimum age is 18 years, calculated as on 01/01/2025. The maximum age limits are as follows:
- Unreserved Male Candidates: 37 years
- Unreserved Female Candidates: 40 years
- Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class Candidates: 40 years
- Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Candidates: 42 years
Additional age relaxation is applicable to eligible serving government employees and ex-servicemen as per the rules mentioned in the notification. The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent certificate will be accepted as valid.

The vacancies include reservation provisions for eligible categories, women, Economically Weaker Sections and persons with disabilities as applicable under Bihar Government rules. The number of advertised posts may be increased or decreased according to administrative requirements.
Eligibility / Qualification
Driver
- Matriculation or equivalent qualification.
- Working knowledge of both Hindi and English languages.
- Valid driving licence for Light Motor Vehicle and Heavy Motor Vehicle.
- Ability to drive safely and efficiently.
Office Attendant
- Matriculation or equivalent qualification.
- Working knowledge of both Hindi and English languages.
- Ability to ride a bicycle.
Candidates claiming reservation benefits must possess the required caste, domicile, income and creamy-layer certificates issued by the competent authority. Bihar reservation benefits are available to eligible permanent residents of Bihar. Candidates from outside Bihar will generally be treated under the unreserved category.

Only candidates qualifying in the written examination will be called for the driving skill and practical test. The driving skill test carries 50 marks. Candidates declared unsuccessful at any stage will not be considered for the subsequent stage.

- Duration: 2 hours
- Each correct answer carries 4 marks.
- 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- The question paper will be available in Hindi and English, except the General Hindi section, which will be printed in Hindi.
- Mathematics and General Knowledge questions will also be provided in English along with Hindi. In case of any discrepancy, the English version will be treated as valid.

The minimum qualifying marks in the written examination are category-wise as follows:

Candidates securing the required qualifying marks will be considered for the next stage. For the Driver post, candidates will be shortlisted for the driving skill and practical test based on the available category-wise vacancies. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination and the applicable practical test.
Result Details
The recruitment notice states that the merit list will be prepared using the marks obtained in the written examination and, for the Driver post, the driving skill and practical test. Candidates should regularly check the official Bihar Vidhan Parishad website for publication of the examination schedule, result, merit list, cut-off marks and document verification notice.
Candidates who qualify for document verification must produce the original certificates and documents corresponding to the details submitted in the online application. Reservation certificates must be valid on or before the prescribed application deadline and must be produced in original during verification.
Important Instructions
- Candidates must carefully read the detailed instructions before submitting the online application.
- The registered email ID, mobile number, username and password should be kept secure until completion of the recruitment process.
- Candidates should upload a recent photograph and Hindi and English signatures in the prescribed format.
- After final submission, candidates should log in and download the filled application form using the Download Filled Application option.
- At least two printed copies of the submitted application should be preserved.
- The Application Number must be printed on the application copy; otherwise, the application may not be treated as complete.
- No correction or modification request will ordinarily be accepted after submission.
