Age Limit

The minimum age is 18 years, calculated as on 01/01/2025. The maximum age limits are as follows:

  • Unreserved Male Candidates: 37 years
  • Unreserved Female Candidates: 40 years
  • Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class Candidates: 40 years
  • Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Candidates: 42 years

Additional age relaxation is applicable to eligible serving government employees and ex-servicemen as per the rules mentioned in the notification. The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation or equivalent certificate will be accepted as valid.

Eligibility / Qualification

Driver

  • Matriculation or equivalent qualification.
  • Working knowledge of both Hindi and English languages.
  • Valid driving licence for Light Motor Vehicle and Heavy Motor Vehicle.
  • Ability to drive safely and efficiently.

Office Attendant

  • Matriculation or equivalent qualification.
  • Working knowledge of both Hindi and English languages.
  • Ability to ride a bicycle.

Candidates claiming reservation benefits must possess the required caste, domicile, income and creamy-layer certificates issued by the competent authority. Bihar reservation benefits are available to eligible permanent residents of Bihar. Candidates from outside Bihar will generally be treated under the unreserved category.

Only candidates qualifying in the written examination will be called for the driving skill and practical test. The driving skill test carries 50 marks. Candidates declared unsuccessful at any stage will not be considered for the subsequent stage.

Candidates securing the required qualifying marks will be considered for the next stage. For the Driver post, candidates will be shortlisted for the driving skill and practical test based on the available category-wise vacancies.
