HTET is an eligibility test. No vacancy / post count is mentioned in the bulletin.

Result Details

  • HTET is conducted for three levels:

    • Level 1: Teacher for Classes I to V (PRT)
    • Level 2: Teacher for Classes VI to VIII (TGT)
    • Level 3: Post Graduate Teacher for Classes IX to XII (PGT)
  • Validity of HTET Certificate:

    • HTET qualifying certificate validity for appointment is lifetime from the issuance date of certificate for all levels.
    • There is no restriction on number of attempts.
    • Qualified candidates may appear again to improve score.
  • Qualifying Marks (All Levels):

    • For all categories except Scheduled Castes and Differently Abled / Physically Challenged: 60% (90 Marks)
    • For Scheduled Castes and Differently Abled / Physically Challenged of Haryana Domicile: 55% (82 Marks)
    • For Scheduled Castes and Differently Abled / Physically Challenged of Other State: 60% (90 Marks)
  • How the result is declared (as per bulletin):

    • Result will be declared after comparison of IRIS data base (Biometric profile verification) as decided/informed by the Board.

Exam Pattern / Scheme of Examination

  • Mode of Exam: Conventional Type Pen-Paper Based
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), 1 mark each
  • Negative Marking: No negative marking
  • Duration: 150 minutes (2.5 hours) for each level
  • Language of Question Paper: Bilingual (Hindi & English) except language subject questions.

  • Admit Card: Admit cards will be available online only. Admit cards will not be sent by post.
  • Exam Centre: Exam centre can be in Haryana or outside Haryana; efforts will be made to allocate within home district.
  • Objection on Answer Key:
    • Objection can be filed online through the link on Board website.
    • Fee: ₹1,000 per question (non-refundable).
    • If subject experts find a mistake, refund for that question will be processed within three months from result declaration.
    • Board decision on objections will be final.
