Age Limit and Relaxation

The minimum age cut-off date has been revised from 01/08/2024 to 01/08/2025. Age relaxation is available as per Bihar Government rules, including applicable relaxation for eligible contractual Staff Nurse experience and other notified categories. Only one maximum-age relaxation benefit is admissible to a candidate where multiple relaxations apply.

Eligibility / Qualification

Candidates must fulfil the following requirements:

  • Must have passed the General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M.) course from an institution recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.
  • Must possess the required registration certificate from the Bihar Nurses Registration Council, Patna.
  • For candidates who studied in institutions located outside Bihar, a Suitability Certificate issued by the Indian Nursing Council is mandatory.
  • Candidates holding B.Sc. Nursing qualifications are also eligible to apply.
  • Candidates claiming work experience must submit the prescribed experience certificate issued by the Civil Surgeon, Medical College and Hospital Superintendent, or Director of a recognised super-speciality hospital or institution, as applicable.
  • Candidates registered provisionally with the Bihar Nurses Registration Council must submit the final registration certificate at the time of document verification.

Result / Recruitment Update Details

The notification relates to amendments and extension of the Staff Nurse recruitment process. The application period has been extended to 13/06/2025. The final result of Advertisement No. 23/2025 will remain subject to the outcome of the related court proceedings mentioned in the notification.

The recruitment examination will be conducted through a Computer Based Test (CBT). Candidates should retain a copy of the completed online application form, payment receipt and all uploaded certificates for future document verification.
