Eligibility / Qualification
- Nationality: Indian citizen (and other categories as per Government of India rules, subject to eligibility certificate where applicable).
- Educational Qualification: Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university / equivalent qualification recognized by Central Government.
- Experience (Post Qualification): Minimum 18 months branch experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank listed in the Second Schedule of RBI.
- Local Language: Proficiency in the opted state’s local language (reading, writing, understanding) is mandatory.
Age Limit
- Age as on: 01/03/2026
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 30 Years
- Candidate must be born not earlier than 02/03/1996 and not later than 01/03/2006 (both dates inclusive).
Age Relaxation (Upper Age Limit)

Final Score Weightage: Written Test 70% + Interview 30% (converted to total 100 marks).

- Minimum qualifying marks in each section: 40% (UR/EWS) and 35% (Reserved categories).
Result Details
- Result / Interview Call / Final Result will be made available on the Punjab & Sind Bank website.
- Final selection will be prepared state-wise and category-wise based on merit and local language proficiency requirement.
- Candidates who have studied the specified local language in Class 10th or 12th (as a subject) may be exempted from the language test (as per notification).
Salary / Pay Scale
- JMGS-I Pay Scale: ₹48,480-2,000/7-62,480-2,340/2-67,160-2,680/7-85,920
- LBOs will join at initial scale for JMGS-I + 3 increments (as per applicable Joint Note at the time of recruitment).
- DA, HRA / leased accommodation (as applicable), CCA, medical, LTC, terminal benefits and other perquisites as per bank rules.
Bond / Probation
- Probation Period: 6 months
- Bond Period: 3 years
- Bond Amount: Equivalent to 3 months’ gross salary (initial basic + DA as on date of resignation + special allowance + DA on special allowance) in the respective officer scale.
Key Notes from Notification
- Candidates can apply for one state only.
- Present employees of Punjab & Sind Bank are not eligible.
- No reservation for Ex-Servicemen in Officers’ cadre.
- Minimum CIBIL score 650 or above is required at the time of joining; CIBIL report to be submitted at document verification.
- Interviews are proposed to be conducted at New Delhi (unless otherwise specified) and call letters will be sent by email only.
