The fee is payable online. Candidates who have already completed One-Time Registration may use their existing OTR details while submitting the application.

Age Limit

The candidate must be at least 21 years old and must not have completed 40 years of age as on 01/01/2026.

Age relaxation mentioned in the notification includes:

  • Male candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS categories of Rajasthan: 5 years.
  • Female candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS categories of Rajasthan: 10 years.
  • Women belonging to the General category: 5 years.
  • Widows and divorced women: No upper age limit, subject to the prescribed documentary requirements.
  • Persons with benchmark disabilities: 5 years.
  • Ex-servicemen, released Emergency Commissioned Officers, Short Service Commissioned Officers and other specified categories: relaxation as per Rajasthan Government rules.

The age-relaxation provisions are generally non-cumulative, and candidates may claim only the applicable relaxation under the relevant rule.

Eligibility / Qualification

Candidates must possess working knowledge of Hindi written in the Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthan culture.

School Lecturer Subjects

For most subjects, candidates must have a Post Graduate degree or equivalent qualification recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) in the relevant subject, along with a degree or diploma in Education recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education or the Government.

Subject-specific provisions include:

  • Home Science: Post Graduate degree or equivalent qualification in Home Science recognised by UGC/Indian Council of Agricultural Research, along with a recognised Education degree or diploma.
  • Biology: Post Graduate degree in Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, Biotechnology or Life Science, provided the candidate studied Botany and Zoology at graduation level, along with a recognised Education degree or diploma.
  • Commerce: Post Graduate degree in Commerce with B.Com., or a Post Graduate degree in Commerce with at least two teaching subjects for Higher Secondary classes as prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, Ajmer.
  • Drawing: Post Graduate degree in Drawing or an equivalent qualification declared by the Government, or a four/five-year diploma in Arts from a Government-recognised school or college of arts.
  • Music: Post Graduate degree or equivalent qualification in Music recognised by UGC, or an equivalent qualification declared by the Government.
  • Physical Education: Graduation recognised by UGC and Post Graduation in Physical Education/M.P.Ed. of two years' duration recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education.

Coach Posts

For Coach posts, candidates must possess:

  • Graduation or equivalent qualification recognised by UGC.
  • Degree or diploma in Physical Education.
  • Full-time or part-time National Institute of Sports (NIS) certificate from the relevant sports branch.

The NIS certificate must relate to the concerned sports subject.

Selection Process

  1. Competitive written examination.
  2. Evaluation of sports participation or tournament certificates wherever applicable for Coach and Lecturer of Physical Education posts.
  3. Scrutiny of eligibility and original documents.
  4. Recommendation and appointment according to merit and applicable service rules.

The Commission may use scaling, moderation or normalisation of marks where required. Candidates found to have submitted incorrect or suppressed information may face cancellation of candidature and debarment according to the applicable rules.

Examination Scheme and Syllabus

School Lecturer Examination

The School Lecturer examination carries 450 marks and consists of two papers.

Both papers consist of multiple-choice questions. One-third of the marks prescribed for a question is deducted for every wrong answer, including an incorrect answer or multiple answers.

The minimum qualifying marks are 40% in each paper, with a relaxation of 5% for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories, subject to the applicable rules.

School Lecturer Paper I: General Studies

  • History of Rajasthan and Indian History with special emphasis on the Indian National Movement.
  • Mental Ability Test, Statistics at Secondary level, Mathematics at Secondary level, and Hindi and English language ability.
  • Current affairs.
  • General Science, Indian Polity and Geography of Rajasthan.
  • Educational Psychology, Educational Management, Educational Scenario in Rajasthan and the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009.

School Lecturer Paper II: Subject Concerned

  • Knowledge of the concerned subject at Senior Secondary level.
  • Knowledge of the concerned subject at Graduation level.
  • Knowledge of the concerned subject at Post Graduation level.
  • Pedagogy, teaching-learning material, use of computers and information technology in teaching and learning.

Coach Examination

The Coach examination carries 450 marks. Up to 40 additional marks may be awarded for participation or performance in sports and tournaments according to the prescribed sports certificate rules.

Sports certificates must be verified by the Secretary of the Rajasthan Sports Council, the head of the concerned institution or the relevant sports federation/association, as prescribed.

Examination Instructions

  • Each question has five options marked 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
  • Candidates must darken one circle on the answer sheet using a blue ball-point pen.
  • One option must be marked for every question.
  • If a question is not attempted, the candidate must darken option 5.
  • If none of the five options is darkened, one-third of the marks for that question will be deducted.
  • Candidates receive an additional 10 minutes after the scheduled examination time to ensure that all required bubbles have been darkened.
  • A candidate who fails to darken any of the five options for more than 10% of questions may be disqualified.
