State Bank of India (SBI) has released the official notification for Recruitment of Circle Based Officers (CBO) under Advertisement No. CRPD/CBO/2025-26/18. Candidates can apply online and later check interview call / final result updates on SBI Careers as per the schedule.

Age Limit

Age as on 31/12/2025:

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 30 Years
• Date of Birth: Not later than 31/12/2004 and not earlier than 01/01/1996 (both days inclusive)

Age Relaxation (Upper Age Limit):

• SC / ST: 5 Years
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 Years
• PwBD: Gen/EWS: 10 Years, OBC: 13 Years, SC/ST: 15 Years
• Ex-Servicemen / ECOs / SSCOs (5 years military service conditions): 5 Years

Vacancy Details

Total Vacancies: 2,050 Regular + 223 Backlog = 2,273 Posts

Circle-wise vacancy distribution (Regular + Backlog) is provided in the notification for:

• Amaravati, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Maharashtra, Mumbai Metro, New Delhi, Thiruvananthapuram.

Important Circle Rules:

• Candidate can apply for only one Circle.
• Merit list will be prepared Circle-wise and Category-wise.
• Selected candidates will be posted in the applied Circle only.
• No Inter-Circle transfer / Corporate Centre posting / Foreign posting up to promotion to SMGS-IV or 12 years of service (whichever is later).

Eligibility / Qualification

Essential Qualification:

• Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government (including Integrated Dual Degree).
• Candidates with professional qualifications like Medical, Engineering, CA, Cost Accountant are also eligible.

Experience (as on 31/12/2025):

• Minimum 2 years experience as an Officer in any Scheduled Commercial Bank or any Regional Rural Bank (as per RBI Second Schedule).

Local Language:

• Candidate must be proficient (read/write/understand) in one of the specified local languages of the applied Circle.
• Local Language Proficiency Test will be conducted for provisionally selected candidates.
• Candidates who have studied the opted local language in 10th/12th as a subject are exempted from language test.

Selection will be conducted in 4 phases:

1. Online Examination
2. Screening (experience & job profile matching)
3. Interview
4. Local Language Proficiency Test

Exam Pattern

Online Test (Objective)

Descriptive Test

• Duration: 30 Minutes
• विषय: English (Letter Writing & Essay)
• Questions: 2
• Marks: 50

Negative Marking:

• No penalty for wrong answers in Objective Test.

Interview:

• Marks: 50

Final Merit:

• Online Test + Interview with 75:25 weightage (normalized).

SBI will publish:

• List of candidates called for Interview
• Final Result / Selection list

Candidates should check updates on SBI Careers under the same advertisement number.

Key points for candidates:

• Keep registration number and password/date of birth ready to login.
• Call letters for Online Exam and Interview will be available online only (no hard copy by post).
• Results will be hosted on SBI website only.

Salary / Pay Scale

• Starting Basic Pay: ₹48,480
• Pay Scale (JMGS-I): ₹48,480-2,000/7-62,480-2,340/2-67,160-2,680/7-85,920
• Plus: 2 advance increments
• Allowances/Benefits: DA, HRA/Lease Rental, CCA, PF, NPS, LFC, Medical Facility and other perquisites as per SBI rules.
