Age Limit
The prescribed age is 21 to 40 years as on 01/07/2026. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and other notified categories will receive upper-age relaxation according to Uttar Pradesh Government rules. The applicable age relaxation must be claimed with a valid certificate issued in the prescribed format.

Eligibility / Qualification
Scientific Assistant
Candidates must possess a relevant Master's degree in one of the prescribed domains, including:
- Biological Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry-related subjects, Genetics, Cell Biology, Microbiology, or allied areas.
- Physics, Forensic Science with Physics, Nuclear Physics, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related subjects.
- Chemistry, Forensic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related chemical sciences.
- Computer Science, Computer Applications, or an equivalent qualification in the prescribed computer science domain.
The notification also provides preference for candidates having a Master's degree in the relevant subject, at least two years of service in the Territorial Army, or a valid National Cadet Corps ‘B’ Certificate, wherever applicable under the service rules.
Laboratory Assistant
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in the relevant domain, including:
- Biological Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Genetics, Cell Biology, or Microbiology.
- Physics, Applied Physics, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related subjects.
- Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related chemical sciences.
- Computer Science, Computer Applications, or an equivalent qualification.
Preference may be given to candidates having at least two years of service in the Territorial Army or a valid National Cadet Corps ‘B’ Certificate, as prescribed in the applicable service rules.
Candidates must have acquired the required educational qualification by the final date of application. Applicants must have appeared in PET-2025 and must have been issued a PET-2025 scorecard. Candidates with zero or negative actual or normalized PET scores will not be shortlisted for the main examination.
Selection Process
