High Court of Judicature at Allahabad has released the Syllabus / Exam Pattern for Review Officer (RO), Assistant Review Officer (ARO) and Computer Assistant (CA) Recruitment Examination 2026, conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). The recruitment will be held in three stages (Stage-I, Stage-II, Stage-III) and candidates must qualify each stage as per the rules.

Age Relaxation (Upper Age Limit):

Stage-I: Preliminary Examination (General Studies)

Shortlisting Rule: Seven times the number of candidates against the total vacancies in each category for each post (RO/ARO/CA), based on Stage-I merit, will be called for Stage-II and Stage-III.
Stage-II: Mains Examination (Subjective)

- Duration: 02 Hours (120 Minutes)
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 50 marks out of 150
Stage-II Paper Structure
Section A: Essay Writing in English (approximately 200 words) – 30 marks
- Focus: Constitutional accuracy & conceptual clarity, relevance & coherence, logical structure & flow, language proficiency & expression.
Section B: Precis Writing in English – 30 marks
- Focus: Identification of core ideas, conciseness & proportional reduction, language clarity & grammar, suitable title.
Section C (i): Translation from English to Hindi – 25 marks
Section C (ii): Translation from Hindi to English – 25 marks
- Focus: Accuracy of meaning, terminology & formal tone, grammar & sentence structure.
Section D: Comprehension in English – 40 marks
- Focus: Accuracy of responses, analytical understanding, clarity of expression.
Stage-III: Computer Knowledge Test (Typing Test)
- Mode: Computer Based Test (CBT)
- Maximum Marks: 50
- Duration: 20 Minutes
- Negative Marking: No
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: 25 marks out of 50
- Typing Requirement: Minimum 25 words per minute (WPM) in English typing
Test Task: A passage of approximately 500 words in English will be provided to reproduce on the computer in the same format within 20 minutes.
Stage-III Marking (Error Deduction)
- 1 mistake (error) = 0.1 mark deducted
- Left-out words and spelling mistakes count as full mistakes.
- Typing anything other than the passage content counts as full mistakes.
- Words typed beyond the prescribed word limit will be ignored/deleted.

Final Merit List: Prepared post-wise based on aggregate marks of Stage-II + Stage-III (Total 200 marks).
Important Notes:
- It is mandatory to appear and qualify in all stages.
- No interview will be held.
- Candidate age below 21 years as on 01/07/2026 will be considered for Computer Assistant only.
- Stage-II and Stage-III for each candidate will be conducted in a single shift with a 20-minute gap.
